I know they do all the hoopla at dinner, but very little at lunch. Is breakfast loud an fun...do they do the horse race.....

Well-"fun" it certainly wasn't for me. But is breakfast loud? Yes. They do the horsey race, the servers bang their serving trays on the floor, people throw napkins at each other--the usual "anitics" prevail.

I sooooooooooooooooooooo agree with you! I HATED the place. Trying to wake up and having them screaming and yelling was totally annoying to me. Then again I really didn't like the place for dinner either..my kids were amused with the ketchup thing, but too old or shy or whatever for the horse thing. But I have friends that absolutely love the place and go every time they are in Disney so it definitely is a personal opinion.

The sad part is that it's the ONLY place for a real breakfast at Wilderness Lodge.

I just moved our ADR from a 5:10 dinner to a 2:20 lunch on arrival day because I wanted to get on over to MK around 4 for MVMCP.

I think the food sounds like something we would like, but I was hoping for at least a little of the fun stuff to get us started.

Any other suggestions? We are staying at WL so I thought it would be convenient. But I kind of wanted to do something fun.

We went for dinner last month (way overrated in our opinion and DH got sick on the skillet). We had ADR's at 5:30 and was over 30 minutes before we got seated. We were there a total of 2 hours--no horse race, no singing of happy birthday (saw several birthday buttons), heard one "very soft" ketchup routine.

I think it all depends on your server and the people that are in there at the time. The food is decent for all meals but I do think lunch is a bit calmer but if you have a "fun" server they could still make it crazy for you! You never really know how its going to be. I have been there for dinner when its been calm and for bfast when its been insane... You never know!

It's all in what you like. We have a 3 year old...so the loud behavior was just fine as we weren't embarassed. She was also amused and if she's happy....we're happy. Yes they do the "antics" at all meals. It's all in your server. Some are more reserved than others. With that being said, we like it because they offer a good selection and it adds a different type of meal to your vacation. How often do you get a server who jokes around with you, plays jokes on you, and makes things fun?

I've found people on the DIS either love it or can't stand it. So keep that in mind when scheduling your meals.
