My family and I are looking to eat at one of these two restaurants on our trip in May. We have not eaten at either and are looking for advice as to which you would recommend? The crazy antics at WCC are not a factor, we simply want good food with options for everyone. I am hoping to hear some suggestions and recommendations of which you would choose or not and why? :confused3 Thanks so much in advance. :)

Hi

We like them both, but Trails End wins hands down for us. Food & price is great and coming from the UK, we love the "real" American theming.

Thanks Rich. :) I appreciate the response. Does anyone else have any opinions on why they would choose one over the other? Thanks.

We visited both. Trails End wins with us too. We liked the choice of food better at TE and also after a while the antics at WC get annoying. TE is smaller and much quieter. After we ate, we hopped on the bus to go to Chip n Dales Sing a Long.

TE is a buffet. I dont remember everything they had, but my DH is a picky eater (meat/potatoes kind of guy.........plain.........no funky sauces or spices) TE fit the bill. I cant wait to go back.

The Trails End is the restaurant at Pioneer Hall within Fort Wilderness Campground. It has been voted the best deal at WDW for several years. Pioneer Hall also houses the Hoop de doo the longest running dinner show.

You can take a boat to FW via the MK/WL/CR.

We have never been to Trails End so I can't comment on it, but we LOVE WCC...it is a must do each trip. Since we are staying at WL we plan on having dinner and breakfast there. The antics are a hit or miss, we have been there where our servers were really funny and made us ALL embarrassed (in a fun way) and then we had servers who acted like it was their first night so they weren't quite sure how to do them. But the food is really good (my family is big into BBQ) and the bottomless milkshakes are awesome :thumbsup2

We ate at both places in August 2008 when we were there.

We had dinner and breakfast on different days at WCC. Both meals were good. The menu is more limited and more expensive than TE.

We had breakfast at Trail's End for Breakfast and really enjoyed it. they had a very good variety and you can't beat the price. The server seemed off that day, but she may have just been having a bad day. It wasn't really crowded at all. Not like most of the other restaurants at Disney.

I have heard that another great option for Trail's End is take out. They have a great fried chicken take out dinner, I have heard.

To summarize, I don't think you can go wrong with either, but for the money, Trail's End is the better value.

Dh and I were trying to decide between the two restaurants for dinner, also. We wanted to eat at the WL so we could check it out for our next stay. After looking at the menu on allears and some photos here I decided on WCC. It just depends on what you like. I'm not interested in chili and fried chicken.

Thanks everyone. Both meals look pretty good but we wanted to hear your opinions. I appreciate all of your help. Thanks.
