Whispering Canyon Cafe or Cape May?

We're having a hard time deciding on which to choose for dinner. They both sound good. Anyone have any preferences?

On my gosh, that's a hard one! Two of my all time favorites and so different from each other. The buffet at Cape May is amazing - especially if you like clams, shrimp, and crab. The family style table buffet at Whispering Canyon is equially as wonderful (best mashed potatoes ever!).

The way I would choose would be to see what our agenda is for the day. If we were going to EPCOT or DHS, I'd select Cape May. If MK, then WCC and then boat over to the Kingdom.

You can't lose with either one of them. But younger kids might like the boisterous antics at WCC.

That's tough... we love them both!
Cape May... works out great on an Epcot, even DHS day. We love the food there - such a nice variety (and we don't even like seafood and find tons we love on the nonseafood side!) Definitely a great meal!

Whispering Canyon - fun! We enjoy the food there a lot. Lots of stuff there has a smoked flavor to it, which some may not care for. I actually prefer the ribs at Cape May wayyyyy over WCC's ribs to be honest. But oh, yes, food is good, but is a more fun experience than Cape May.

Both have good food - but I think Cape May's is better and more variety - though WCC is lots of fun. Nice little boat ride over from MK on a MK park day.
any way you could do BOTH?

Oh, and my kids would probably say WCC. They have lots of fun there and like the hobby horse rides through the restaurant and the whole ketchup bit. For kids... I'd say they'd enjoy WCC a lot more and is more memorable than WCC for them!

Oh no! My decision still isn't any easier! :rotfl:
We are planning on going to Universal that day, so we won't be at any of the parks.
Can you easily walk over to the Boardwalk from the Beach Club? Is that fun?

Both...

That's a super hard decision. We eat at both multiple times during vacation.

It comes down to food.

If you're a seafood lover, you can't beat Cape May. Also, there are ribs and other non seafood items on the buffet.

If you are a meat eater, WCC is the way to go. Steak and pot roast are awesome here!!! The milkshakes are quite good as well!

I don't envy you. That's a hard decision to make. If we HAD to choose, probably WCC. Just because our kids love the pot roast and we love the steak.

Good luck!

Where is WCC located at? I have a ressie for Cape May on our HS day but WCC sounds better for my kids.

Forgot about your question about Boardwalk.

Yes! It takes only a few minutes to walk from Beach Club to Boardwalk. It's our home resort (DVC member here) and we love hanging out on the boardwalk after dark.

Food, entertainment, games...what's not to like?

You will not regret walking over and staying alittle while.

We always hit the Boardwalk even when we are not staying there. Why?? 2 words... Brownie Cheescake.

This can be found at the Boardwalk Bakery.

Wilderness Lodge Resort.

Take a boat from Magic Kingdom to get to this resort if you do not have a car. Make sure you get on the correct boat!

You can also use Disney bus transportation.

But we prefer to take the boat over. If you time it right you can catch a glimpse of the Electric Water Pageant.
