Whispering Canyon Cafe menu substitution?

Does anyone know if you can substitute any of the lunch offering items for the dinner menu? My DH can be a "little picky" at times lol and would probably prefer one of the lunch sandwiches over the dinner menu. The rest of our party wants to try out this restaurant in August.

i don't know if you can ask for a lunch item at dinner. But when we went last October we found them very accommodating. i asked for some changes on my dish and they had no problem. So i suspect they would try their best to please. i had the ribs and my sisters had the trout. Everything was wonderful.

Once lunch service is complete the kitchen switches to preparation for dinner service. It is very likely that the lunch menu items are not available in this case.

Thanks for responding. We ate there a few years ago and had so much fun, but at that time my DH was able to order something that he liked so I guess the menu has changed somewhat. I know that we have been able to order off the lunch menu (for dinner) at places like Sci Fi so I was just wandering if anyone had ever done this at WC.

Sci Fi has an "all day" menu. Several years ago they changed from a lunch and a dinner menu to an all day menu.

Since WCC has a different menu at dinner they will put away the lunch ingredients at the end of lunch service. The kitchen will be focused on dinner prep so while you can ask, it will depend on whether the sandwich ingredients are accessible and there is staff and space to make it. They can modify dinner menu items (e.g. omit sauces, sub sides) so hopefully your DH will have an alternative choice if the sandwiches are unavailable.

He can always stop at Roaring Fork and grab a hot dog prior to the WCC meal.
