I have ADRs for our Sat night at WWC. We'll be staying at CR and I wanted a non-park restaurant that we can get to either by monorial or boat. It sounds like a fun place. We will have already eaten at Cali Grill and Narcoossees by the Saturday and Kona on the following Monday. Am I missing a better opportunity somewhere else?

(PS Already been to OHanas on previous trips)

We love WCC. It is DH's favorite place to eat while at Disney. He loves that skillet, while I love the ribeye. Have always had a good time, good food and love the boat ride over from MK.

I say if the menu appeals to you, go try it. Opinions vary and you will find lovers and haters of every restaurant at WDW. ;)

Keep in mind that this is just my opinion and I hate to be the dissenting vote here but we do not like Whispering Canyon at all. We've tried it for dinner several times and it was gross. The Canyon Skillet was so greasy, fatty and nasty. Of the 5 of us, nobody cared for the meal at all. We will not go back.

If you're staying at the CR, you could try the Grand Floridian Cafe. It's very charming and the food is much better.:goodvibes

My family had a great time at WCC. We thought the food was really good. My son still likes to talk about joining in on the horses races around the restaurant and the all you care to drink milkshakes. :) Plus it's a good excuse to visit the WL! :thumbsup2

I have an ADR for WCC for our next trip. I have never been and I too had reservations (not ADR's - as in didn't know if I should bother ) about it. It is perhaps not my first choice of menu style, but I am keeping the reservation because it looks like fun and I know that I will probably end up enjoying it. Disney to me is a whole experience and aside from a few things which are absolutely not my kind of thing, I am willing to give any "maybe's" a try - in anticipation that they just might become one of my favorites. WCC is one of those. :goodvibes

My husband absolutely loves Whispering Canyon, primarily for the bottomless milkshakes. I think that the food is alright (We ordered the skillet), but the atmosphere is a lot of fun. We went for the 1st time in February for my daughter's 3rd birthday and had a really good time.

I would go with Whispering Canyon. We didnt get to go last trip but it will be my first nights meal my next trip in August. It looks like fun and my kids would love the bottomless milkshakes as would my DH!

I never had the skillet but their regular menu items are pretty good - between dh & I we have had the pork chops, steak and meat loaf. I actually LOVE the pork chops. It's quite loud so be prepared for that - you can request a table in the back if you want to sit some place a little quieter. But it's a good meal and a fun experience.

WE went there twice on our last trip and have dinner booked again for our upcoming trip. Not the BEST food we have ever had, but not the worse, and those milkshakes were DE-LISH!

I think that with any place there are good and bad reviews and you need to try it for yourself to see how you will like it!

We've been twice and will be going again twice in the next couple of months, including our first breakfast at WCC. When we were at WDW for the agent education program, they took us to WCC for lunch and among the agent chatter, we agreed that many of our clients adore this restaurant for the atmosphere (fun and loud), food (skillet and cobbler), and those bottomless milkshakes.

If you're looking for something quiet and more refined, Artist Point would be a better choice.

We have always enjoyed WCC for the fun. We have not been there in 3 years, so not sure if the food went down hill like it did at 'Ohana. We did 'Ohana 2 weeks ago and the food was disgusting. Needless to say, we chose to eat offsite the remainder of our trip.
