Whispering Canyon: Can anyone give me details on the "Canyon Skillet" breakfast for $10.99? Is that an all-you-can-eat, or do you get a big plate with a bit of each item listed (from the menu at allearsnet)?

Crystal Palace: My kids narrowed down the character meals to this one and they want dinner there. We always maximize our park time: arrive prior to rope-drop, stay till the park closes, hop if it gets busy, etc. I was thinking breakfast because you can get into the park early. However, I'm wondering if, even if I get the first seating, if that puts us behind the rope-drop crowd anyway.

Here are my choices for Crystal Palace:

Breakfast on a morning with EMH at MK, or
Dinner on a day with EMH in the evening at MK.

What would you recommend?
TIA!

If you do breakfast on a day with EMH in the am, I would try to get the last breakfast seating. That way you can do rides for the first 2 hours or so before the lines get too long.
Personally, I would do dinner on a day with EMH in the evening. I would try for a time around 5 or 5:30 before it gets too busy.

We usually do breakfast at CP on EMH day. We make our ressie for around 10:00 or 10:15 and we use 8:00 - 9:50 for rides. We did this in September of this year. We had a 10:15 ressie at the CP; we arrived at the park at 7:45 a.m. and were able to do Dumbo, Snow White, Mad Tea Party, Peter Pan (twice), Small World, Mickey's Philharmagic, Winnie-the-Pooh (twice), Space Mountain, Buzz Lightyear (twice), Wedway People Mover (sorry...it will always go by that name with me), Splash Mountain and Big Thunder Mountain all before we headed over to our 10:15 ressie.

From what I understand, they bring out a big platter with all of the items and you can get "refills" of whatever you want/like. Basically served family style. Never had it, but it sounds delicious!

It's a big skillet that is placed in the center of the table on a lazy susan. We always plan a breakfast at WCC. My daughter is a rather picky eater, but eats her fill and then some out of that skillet. They refill anything you like in the skillet as often as you'd like. It has scrambled eggs, bacon, sausage, biscuits, gravy, waffles, etc. It's truly a great meal.

We did breakfast at CP on a non-EMH day. We got in an hour before the park opened, had Main St to ourselves which was AWESOME! We got out of breakfast shortly after rope drop and went straight to Fantasyland. Walked onto Peter Pan, Snow White, Small World, and Winnie the Pooh with absolutey NO wait!

I think if you get first seating at CP - 8:05am - and ask for you check when you are seated (so you don't have to wait on it), you would be out by a 9AM rope drop.

Otherwise if you are doing EMH, I would do a later seating for breakfast and do the park the first couple of hours it is open.

BTW - the WCC skillet is very good.

Thanks, all!!

We're a breakfast family, so the skillet sounds amazing!

I'm going to see what I can get for CP now. All the info has helped...I think I'll try for what the kids want (dinner around 5ish on an EMH night that MK is open till midnight). If I can't get that, I'll get a late breakfast for the EMH morning later in the week. Shouldn't be a problem getting that one.

If you get the 8:05 seating on a non early entry day, you can be out before the rope drop. You can go to the rope inside the castle and when it drops you will be right in front of Dumbo!! We did all of fantasyland and then some before 10:00 AM.:goodvibes

Oooh, this thread is making me think about the delicious sausages, potatoes, biscuits and sausage gravy, and Mickey waffles in the WCC skillet - YUM!!!!
