I would like to try both Chef Mickeys and Whispering Canyon in one day. Which for dinner and which for b-fast. Are they goofy at both b-fast and dinner at WCC? Any opinions on what you liked would be great. :ccat: :ccat:

I've had dinner at both Chef Mickey's & Whispering Canyon...haven't had breakfast at either.

My vote would be for dinner at WC just because of the ribs...sooooooo good!

WCC is our favorite breakfast on property and we have eaten at about all of the TS breakfast places.

We really like the b'fast skillet at WCC. We always enjoy dinner at CM's, so I would vote that way. Either way, enjoy!

We have never had dinner at CM but had a couple of breakfasts there. We have had both meals at WCC. I would vote for breakfast at CM since I know the food is good then. And dinner at WCC. I think the dinner is better than the breakfast at WCC and the castmembers are more rambunctious at night.

Hi! I had to make this exact same decision! Tough, isn't it! :teeth:

Originally, I had CM's scheduled for our dinner on our last night & WCC scheduled for breakfast on our last morning.

I had scheduled CM for dinner because we had eaten breakfast there last year & wanted to try dinner there this year. Plus, the breakfast food at CM was only average (typical breakfast buffet), & I thought the dinner might be better. Then, however, I started reading poor reviews for dinner at CM's (mixed in w/ some good ones though too), so I started worrying... because you want your last night to be special. So, then I switched the two meals for the following reasons:

1. CM's has Mickey waffles, and WCC doesn't (I don't think). I wanted Mickey waffles on our last morning.

2. In my opinion, it's easier for breakfast to be good on a buffet than it is for dinner. And, even if the food is only "average", it's only breakfast. (I think it's easier to ruin dinner than it is to ruin breakfast.)

3. The dinner menu for WCC looks scrumptious, and, w/ all the server antics, it looks a like a good choice for a fun evening on our last night.

So, now I have an ADR for dinner at WCC & and ADR for breakfast at CM.

Regarding the characters at CM's, last year, when we were there for breakfast, the following characters were there: Mickey, Minnie, Pluto, Chip, & Dale. Goofy was in the lobby & also led parades & napkin-twirling - but he didn't come around to each individual table. At dinner, I think I've read that Donald Duck is also there - in the lobby, maybe.

Have fun deciding!! :)

WCC has waffles with their skillets. Whether the waffles can be ordered separately, I'm unsure, but as of a couple weeks ago, waffles came with the breakfast skillet. Even my DH was impressed with how cute they were since they were like little acorns--he's not normally interested or impressed by things like that. :rotfl:

WCC is definitely more rowdy in the evenings---some servers whoop it up in the mornings, but it was definitely a lot more low-key than what we've seen at night.

I can't compare WCC to CM because we've never eaten at CM, but I do have to say that the WCC's breakfast skillet is fantastic & definitely well worth the money. I can't wait to go back there to eat breakfast again.
