Yes, Carmen was very helpful!!! I'll have to mention her to her boss.;) :D

What rate did you get at the dolphin? We want to go back next summer , I think I better book it soon with gov. rate. Still deciding between dolphin and swan

Kitty,
Am I understanding you correctly, you got the dolphin 2004 for 129.00 a night. If this is so I better call as soon as I hear from you, that is incredible. I tried the website and couldn't get discount with gov rate. I better call Carmine later, hope she is working today. I've been back and forth between swan and dolphin, but price will sway me towards dolphin. Are the beds much smaller than the swan. I am also concerned about only one sink. Thank you.

Sue

I booked the Swan on Wednesday. I was offered $129 per night for Feb. 2004 at the Dolphin and $144 per night at the Swan. I took a room with a balcony and resort view for $189 per night. This is with a nurse's discount and the price quoted is less than what I got on the Dreams Unlimited website. I'm too chicken to do hotwire for fear I'll end up in Downtown Disney. I'm thrilled! I love the Epcot Resort Area.

Oh, and I have to pay an additional $25 per night for a rollaway bed for my 3rd child.

Do you think I should have just taken a standard view room for $44 less a night? Is the balcony and resort view worth it? Do I have a chance of possible Epcot fireworks view from the Swan?? :)

Yes Sue, I got the Dolphin for $129! That's for a standard room. The Dolphin is in the process of being remodeled right now and so I have no idea if maybe I won't be in a remodeled section. The Swan is remodeled and is now $144 for Teacher's Rate.

This will be my 3rd stay at the Dolphin. The beds were great and even with two teens, one sink was not a big problem.:D

Divamom to 3.......I definetly would stick with a balcony room!!:D

Hi everyone. I'm doing the Swan dance!

Just wanted to mention that I called the Swan today to give them my spg # and check on a couple of things and I had the great pleasure of talking with Carmen, who is indeed wonderful. I told her how everyone on DIS sings her praises and she was quite surprised and happy to hear it. :D :D

My first call there 3 weeks ago, I spoke with Yahaira, who was also fantastic and unbelievably accommodating, particularly since the first 4 nights of our stay were "unavailable"--but she spoke with a supervisor and they became "available"!

We're really looking forward to staying at the Swan...heavenly beds, lake view, walk to Epcot, MGM, and Boardwalk, lots of restaurants.

And I've already experienced 3 of Swan attractions: a toll-free number, early release of AP rates, and superb reservationists.

The government rate at the Dolphin is really tempting me....

DH is probably going to "owe" me a trip to WDW for something I've promised him I'd do. Now I just have to do it.

We are doing the Dolphin dance. We are leaving for the Dolphin in a few hours and we are staying on the LABOR DAY special that they ran for $99 a night plus tax. This is for a lake view room and a 4pm check-out.

That's great Kitty!

I don't know when we're going back, so I'll just have to live vicariously through all that are planning trips!
