While it's fresh in our minds - ideas for RiddleCon II locale and time

Another option would be the Wisconsin Dells area. Although I think some of the GREAT places you'd need to book a year in advance (I don't know, I'm just guessing).

Chicago is a good idea but it's hard in the city to be able to get together and stay together. Small groups would work but it gets VERY crowded around Navy Pier and Michigan Avenue for shopping.

I do like the idea of going to Minnesota. Minneapolis/St. Paul has some great museums and things to do with kids as well as MOA. It's a 6 hour drive from where we live (well, we have done it in 5 but don't tell the cops). I'm game for a weekend in end of July/early August also. Also in Minnesota you aren't plagued so much by the weather - well this year seems to have been an exception - but like Cedar Point, in Chicago if it rains, it can ruin your day in the park and they don't give you any concessions for it. Great America is a fun park - lots for little and bigger kids :D to do.

Chicago is my kind of town!:) Baby, don't ya want to go?:)

I vote for Chicago, in the beginning of August, so as not to interfere with too many school schedules. Chicago has a LOT to offer, much more than just Great America and coasters! LOL!

I'm pretty flexable for Midwest area. Let's put it this way when stuff is dsecided I'm gonna do my best to get there.

Hersheypark is adding another rollercoaster for next summer...in case anyone is interested...

Since a few of us came from the Philly area, Chicago would be a bit far. I like Hershey, though!!! Kennywood would be do-able, too. And I'd LOVE another ride on Millenium Force at CP. AND a chance to ride Top Thrill Dragster!!

How about Branson? there's plenty of shows, Silver Dollar City, and Celebration City.

July / August sounds like the most convenient time for most.

Hershey is a good option.
Good location on the East coast.
Great park, lots to do, and other attractions nearby.

These are all great ideas!

I'll post a poll, using these suggestions, and see what the majority would like!

I always wanted to go back to Chicago and Hersheypark sounds interesting ~ that would be a good excuse for us to head out to the coast next summer.

I must say that Cedar Point was pretty darn good though. :)

LOL Dan! That's cute! :p

I don't mind Cedar Point either, but at a hotel with air conditioning that works!!

I'm with ya on that one!

I third that thought. If we do Cedar Point again, I would like a newer hotel. We should have checked a few out for next time. Maybe someone local can do that. The Great Beat Lodge looked really neat but was $250 a night.

Breezy--I think everyone decided on the Days Inn sight unseen because the price was right! :)

Great bear is nice but I feel wasted money since you pay for their water park with your stay. I liked Clarion, Also Dusk to dawn is nice and has rooms with 3 double beds.

Hopefully it'll be on a open weekend next year...
Would love to come...:)
