I cant seem to stop rethinking some of my ADR's since I decided be in the parks on 10/3 and go to Epcot that day instead of having a swimming/resort day.

We are doing MNSSHP that evening and we are headed over to MK from Epcot around 3:00ish. I currently have Chefs at 1:50 but I am thinking of switching to 1:45 Garden Grill. I originally didnt consider it since we arent after character meals-we are after good food-but then I thought that the Living with the Land ambiance might be fun.

as for food preferences I know I would prefer the food at Chef's since I like french food and cheese but my DS14 might prefer the food at Garden Grill since he is a comfort food or little-kid-type-foods guy.

Which would you do?

I may not be much help, but we do like both places. Honestly I prefer the breakfast at Garden Grill over the lunch. If it were up to me I would choose Chefs but my little guy loves the food there so it would be safe.

Your son might enjoy the Gratin de Macaroni at Chefs de France. It's delicious and definitely checks the box for comfort food.

I've had GG breakfast, and the ambiance isn't all that great unless you're down on the bottom level. Up top, it's just like being at a regular restaurant, in my opinion. The characters were the draw for us that day.

I would stick with Chefs, personally (mainly b/c I like trying new things, and I haven't been there yet - I have it booked for December though!)

Our family loves the ambience of GG. The rotating restaurant, rotating through the different lands within The Land is just something that we look forward to every trip. We also enjoy the food. :-)

Chefs de France smelled AMAZING the last time we walked by. We regretted not having reservations! I have never thought that about Garden Grill, but I haven't eaten at either, so fyi.

We really like Chefs and haven't been to GG in years but remember enjoying the food and the view to the ride below. Based on your timeline, I would suggest GG since it will be quicker to exit the park and hop the monorail to MK.

We usually love Chefs, but it was not good in May. We were seated 15 minutes after our ADR time and they tried to seat us in the sun room where the sun was blaring onto us. We asked to move so we waited 10 more minutes for a table and ended up being sat at the table next to the first table they tried to seat us at. Our server wasn't friendly and my entree was sooo salty I could only take a couple of bites

We used to love Garden Grill for lunch until thy changed the menu. It was fresh and delicious. Now they have changed the fish and beef fillet to sausage and pot roast. My daughter doesn't care for turkey and always ate the chargrilled beef so now we only do breakfast here. Chefs has a much better selection of food.
