I need to drop one of these ADR's. Which would you drop and why?

Teppan Edo
50's Prime Time
Garden Grill
Kona (Dinner)

Thanks

Hi I will drop 50's or Garden Grill because the food at the others is superb! meanwhile at those 2 the food is good but yoy can live without...hope my 2 cents helps!
:hippie::hippie:

Garden Grill. Simply because the menu does not appeal to me, and I am not a Chip and Dale fan. YMMV.

I'd drop Garden Grill, unless you're doing it for the characters. I found the menu unappetizing and the actual meal truly disappointing.

In that case, I'd drop 50's Prime Time Cafe, as the schtick isn't particularly up our alley.

Teppan Edo is great, in my opinion, and worthwhile, even if you have similar places at home.

We haven't done Kona Cafe. We had an ADR for our last trip, and ended up going to WCC instead. HUGE mistake! We'll be trying Kona next time, for sure.

Garden Grill or 50s Primetime...

Garden Grill - food just ok, keep if you want a character meal
50s Primetime - food just ok, entertainment value can vary greatly depending on the server you get

I'd drop 50s Primetime Cafe. The food was pretty disappointing. I have not eaten at the Garden Grill, though, and that seems to be the way the popular opinion is heading on the thread. I do agree with the PP that Sunshine Seasons is very good and worth a visit.

I would drop Garden Grill. I was not impressed with this place and doubt I will ever return to it again.

Teppan Edo for sure - I go to hibachi places near me all the time and Teppan Edo is just not as good. I really didn't care for it very much. There was nothing special about it. It was like every other hibachi I have been too just not as good food. I would much rather go to a hibachi near me and skip Teppan Edo and put my money or dining credits towards trying something else.

Here's another vote for dropping Garden Grill. Unless you specifically want a character meal, it's not nearly as worthwhile as the others.

Wow, it looks like the overwhelming response is to drop garden grill. We were planning to go simply for the characters but now I am wondering if the whole "experience" is worth it, since they have the character meet & greet place in Epcot... Is the food that bad at Garden Grill? Would you feel differently about the choice if you were paying OOP versus the dining plan?

Thanks!!

I would say Garden Grill or Teppan Edo both you can get just about anywhere at your local Cracker Barrell or Wasabi/Miyabi

While 50's is food is Cracker Barrell type its the experience thats cool..Kona is good not as good as Ohana in my opinion but I would keep it just to eat at the Poly..

For character meal what about CP or 1900 park faire?

The food isn't all that great at Garden Grill (not bad though!) but you get a great character experience. I would drop Teppan Edo as you can get that kind of experience anywhere, but you can only eat with Mickey, Pluto, Chip and Dale in Disney :thumbsup2

My family loves Garden Grill. My boys think the slowly rotating restaurant is cool. We enjoyed the food and liked that it was served family style. It allowed us to spend more time with the characters. We also liked the food. Many of the veggies are grown in Epcot.
My opinion would be to drop 50s Prime Time. We've been twice. The first time (2005) the food and the waitress were excellent. She really played her part. The next time (2008), the food quality and portions had dropped. We also had a boring waiter. We liked it, but not nearly as much.
All of your restaurant choices are good. I don't think that you'll be disappointed with any of them.

Teppan Edo
50's Prime Time
Garden Grill
Kona (Dinner)

Depends upon if you have kids and how old they are.

Garden Grill has Mikcey, which is a big plus for them. The food was good, but not something I feel compelled to repeat; and I didn't think the restaurant was as cool as people said it was. Don't get me wrong; I'm glad we did it, but it's not something I'd rush to recommend to someone else, except maybe as a first evening dinner to ease into WDW with the characters. Other than that, it was just okay.

50s Prime Time is supposed to be fun, but the two times I've been there it was just so-so. My kids seemed to like it and the food was pretty good, but it's not a "must do" for me.

Kona gets great reviews, but I know nothing about it personally.

Teppan Edo is fun. Not really my cup of tea, but I think I'm in the minority...my entire family (inlaws included) love this restaurant and consider it an absolutely must-do for next time. So, this is one that I'd probably keep at all costs.

Teppan Edo
Kona
50s Prime Time
Garden Grill.

In that order, unless you have small children and no other character meals, and then I'd have to bump Garden Grill to the top of the list, followed by Teppan Edo and on down...
