Get rid of Chef Mickeys Dinner it's gross.
We ate there once for Free Dining and still thought it wasn't worth it--
I can't imagine having to pay for that nasty food.

Chef Mickey's for dinner -- food not good and character interaction is iffy at best. We would definitely keep the Plaza. While it is cheaper than most of the meals you've listed, we don't pick restaurants based on the "amount of money" they cost, but whether or not we get good food and good service -- and the Plaza has delivered each and every time...it is our last meal of every trip.

Just my opinion of course - I would take out Biegarten and let me explain why - I was told ahead of time when I had questions about keeping it, that I didn't have to like or love sausage and such to like Biergarten. However, I disagree with this. Between the six of us, we of course left there will full bellies but there was not a huge selection of "normal" foods to eat. Of course, great atmosphere and a must try once but if you're in a pinch, I would consider getting rid of it. Good luck...

I would eliminate The Plaza and Akershus. We weren't very impressed with The Plaza when we went. It seemed like a great location and the server was very nice, but the food left some to be desired. The menu seemed limited and the food turned out to be very bland. For a sit down restaurant, I was expecting more.

As for Akershus, unless they changed the menu, it was hard to find things my kids liked there. The buffet consisted of a lot of lamb and fish. My kids would look at most of the offerings and just shake their head. It depends on what your kids like to eat.

Another vote for getting rid of Chef Mickey's. I also didn't care for the 50's Primetime Cafe but it's hard to find somewhere to eat at DHS. Maybe lose another character meal?

Our family really did not like Biergarten. We also thought that the Plaza was not a good use for dining credits as it was just a sandwich place.

We need to narrow down and eliminate two restaurants to keep from paying OOP. Which one would you eliminate and why? Our kids are 5, 7, and 2. We love good food, but we also love the character meal experience for the kids.

We've never been to 50's PTC. Everywhere else on the list we have been except we've never tried Akershus at dinnertime, just breakfast. Same for 1900 Park Fare. We've had dinner there but not breakfast.

Definitely keep 50'sPTC, Biergarten, Akershus, and CP!! I would eliminate Chef Mickey's out of all of them!!

We were a party of 5 (4 adults 1 child under 3) last Sept and ate at most of the resurants you listed

Biergarten was the worst meal I have ever had at a WDW park, followed closely by Diner at Crystal palace. Which was too bad because we had read so many good things about it. CP was way too crowded most of the selections were empty and the ones that weren't were cold, staff was over work and service was lacking because of it.

Really liked the Coral Reef at Epcot and amazing experience and great food and service. Also the Garden Grill was by far the most enjoyable caracter dining we did last trip. Nice meal and the cast spent alot of time with our daughter. Mickey stopped 3 time during our diner. We had a good time at all your other picks, the lunch we had at 50's Primetime really stands out as a great memory, fabulous cast memebers there. The Banana Split at the Plaza Resturant had us booking already for our trip this year. Liberty Tree in the Magic Kingdom was also a highlight, we didn't plan it just walked up and wow were we happy we stopped, another must do for our next vidsit. Tusker House was the only buffet we really liked food was hot and not too crowded. Hope this was of some help.

I would get rid of Le Cellier. If it was dinner, maybe I'd keep it, but I personally don't like a heavy lunch while touring a theme park. Say what you will about Chef Mickey's but all of my children say that Chef Mickeys was their favorite restaurant.

Akershus dinner because I always thought the choices were a little crazy for little kids. The breakfast here is great though.

I would also sadly say Biergarten not because of the food or anything like that, but the seating. Unless you have a big group, I just found it weird to sit with strangers.. we did the place once with a big group and once with a group of three and had two different experiences.

Some people love that kind of thing, but I kind of like eating with people I know.

After reading everyone's responses, I think it's a general consensus that we KEEP Chef Mickey's, right? haha..

I think I'm gonna drop Chef Mickey's and 50's Prime Time. We've never ate at 50'sPTC and were just going for the experience. I think we will pass this trip

I would suggest dropping breakfasts. . .I know that they are character breakfasts but dollar for dollar you get more by using your TS credits for dinners than you do for breakfast.

Definitely the Plaza and maybe Biergarten unless you wanted to stay in Epcot, then I would say something outside the parks like 1900.

I would recommend keeping Chef Mickey's if you're on the DDP, and your children have never been.

There are a handful of people on this board during the past few days who seem to post just to hate on Chef M's. Chef Mickey's can be a hard ADR to get, and it's for good reason. It's a unique experience with decent food. It's a shame some of you had terrible experiences there, but let's face it--bad experiences can happen to anyone, anywhere. There is no need to be so vocal about yours.

The 50s Prime Time menu does not appeal to me, so I would ditch that. Obviously, there are some people who like it, but I can make anything on that menu and probably make it better plus I hate the idea of being busted by waitstaff.

The Plaza is one step up from any counter service restaurant. If you're paying OOP, it's probably worth it, but I wouldn't spend a TS credit out of DDP for it.
