California Grill in order to see Hallowishes at 9? Ressies at 7:40 and wait after dinner for viewing? Not sure how long dinner is here, this is our first time dining at this resturant. Or dinner that is available at 9:20 and get there early and hope to be seated? I feel like half of the experience here is the viewing of fireworks. Which one would you pick?

The general rule of thumb is to allow between 90 minutes and two hours for dinner at a Signature. So, if you have a 7:40 pm ADR, there is a good chance you'll still be eating dinner at 9 pm. How long the meal takes depends on a number of things, including how many courses you order. If you have an appetizer, entree, and dessert, then I would say it's very unlikely that you'll get done before 9 pm. So if you really want to see the fireworks, I would go with the earlier seating time.

Correction: Historically HalloWishes has been at 9:30 pm. You might want to check into this, but either way, I would still go with the 7:40 pm ADR.

We had dinner at Cali Grill, but a wee bit too early to catch fireworks from our table. However, as a restaurant guest, we could go out on the roof terrace and watch from there, and this is what we did. There was no sound, though. Don't know if this is always the case. I have heard of a public terrace on (maybe) the 4th floor which is available for public viewing. Don't know about sound there, either. :)

I was struggling with the same for Cali Grill and after doing some research, many people have said that people at the tables try to stay as long as possible until the fireworks are done, so it's unlikely you'd be sat early if you take the later time. Also, I've read they get behind seating people there and sometimes you aren't allowed up if they get real backed up so the later time might result in missing of the fireworks all together.

100% take the early time. we were at CG for a couple hours...it was a leisurely meal with several courses. we had a fantastic time there!!

We have dinnier resv for 9:15 for this very reason. I fegurie If we can not get seated In time we can watch from the deck.

I would go with the early reservation. If you find you have finished dinner and it's still awhile before the fireworks you can always leave and go back. The California Grill has a policy if you have a receipt for dinner on a given night you can go back up and view the fireworks that night.

Get an early ADR. Then if you finish before the fireworks, keep ordering drinks until it starts. After seven or eight adult beverages, you might even provide the other guests with an extra special pre-fireworks show!
