DH is off every other weekend so these are the only 2 for the fall or wait until next year....3 days is all we can do and we would probably stay a day early at a hotel close by....

The only thing I worry about December is the weather traveling to the airport....

Cabin Wise we have only stayed in a outside....
DH has always wanted to try a Balcony!!!

I am just know starting to find out information about a DCL
Thanks!!!!

Since you are interested in a verandah, I would go for the dec cat 6 vs the nov cat 5. The only difference is floor location. The weather can be a little more iffy in Dec, but still usually nice. A big plus to me is that the ship will be decorated for Christmas on the dec cruise. Really nice.

I can't speak to the verandah or not issue although for three days I think I would skip it and save my money for something else.

As to the time, I grew up in Florida in the Southeast area and have lived all over Central Florida and even Southwest Florida. The temperature in November and December is not really that different. Growing up my family enjoyed Christmas morning and then went to the beach in the afternoon. It is cooler at night so you would have to bring a sweater and some warmer clothes maybe but I guess if you live in Indiana you may think I am crazy to even consider that weather cold. It doesn't really get cooler in South Florida until January/February and again, probably not so cool to you. I think the biggest concern you MAY have is the water temp and again not so sure if there is even a difference between Nov and Dec

For me I would do December. What a great early Christmas present!:hyper:

December Category 6, do it. for the price of a Nov Cat 9. You will love it!!!!

Over the years we have cruised in both November & in December, and the weather is about the same to me!! We are from NJ, so the winters get pretty cold here & Florida was just a little slice of heaven in the middle of the winter!!

If you are planning on going in the day/night before then I wouldn't worry TOO much about the weather up by you.

I say go for the December cruise, nothing wrong with saving a little money!! The ship DOES look great with all the Christmas decorations. I hear they are now decorating Castaway Cay as well, which we never got to see....we went in January & saw all of the Castaway Cay decorations all boxed up & ready to be put away...it was kinda sad!!

Whichever you choose, the 3 day is a GREAT cruise....definitely leaves you wanting more though!! Have fun!!
