...MK dessert fireworks party or HS dessert fireworks party, and why? Should note we're staying at the Poly.

HS definitely - I've done both multiple times. HS has more than just desserts, there is cheese and crackers and fruit. There is also adult beverages and soft drinks. I personally just enjoy the experience more.

We did the dessert party at HS when we were there for SWW last year and had a blast.

I have done both. Loved the food, fireworks, and atmosphere much better at DHS. The view at DHS is also great, especially once they start the new show with the projections on the Chinese Theater. Also, they recently added day-of reservations for Wishes. Those people would not sit at the Tomorrowland Terrace for viewing. They will use the FP+ area. However, they will be eating dessert in the terrace area. I think it's going to be really crowded.

I think we're leaning towards the HS one as we've been invited to a private dessert party for Wishes at CR. Really excited to see the projections on the theater!

The HS ones seem to get overwhelmingly better reviews. I might choose a fireworks cruise over either, but if I was picking between these two events I would go with the HS one. Especially with the new "day-of reservations" one can now make for the MK one. We have yet to hear/see what the impact of that is, but I'm thinking it won't be good...

Star Wars Dessert party.
It's only 1000% times better than Wishes ones.
Not only in food but in position to see the fireworks. And there is alcohol
And, as much as it pains me to say, the Star Wars fireworks blow Wishes away. They will only get better once the projection aspect is added. We want to do the Star Wars party every trip. We never want to do Wishes one again

Star Wars................why come on it's Star Wars...............I just love the environment around the Star Wars desert party better.

We have done both and to be honest I don't think we would do either again. What I liked about MK was that you could sit down and relax. After a long day of parks this was nice. But I wasn't that impressed with the desserts and the view was just ok. HS had some pretty good and unique desserts and the drinks were good. But there were no chairs to sit down :( I guess if I had to pick it would be HS but there are plenty of decent viewing areas around the park. Next time we will pick up some yummy treats and find a comfy bench to watch.

I would pick Star Wars fireworks and dessert party. The desserts, drinks, snacks and ice cream selections were great. The Star Wars fireworks are my favorite next to HalloWishes.

We've only done the MK party, it was nice but I don't think we'd do it again. Sounds like the DHS is better, but I'd like to have a place to sit.

I won't deny seats would be great. But leaning on the tall tables isn't bad. I had my mom in an ECV on our trip last week so we went to a low table and I didn't like that as well. Missed being able to lean.

I tried to book the HS one this morning but there were no dates past the end of May. What am I missing?

I don't think the summer fireworks (replacing current ones) have even been officially announced, so they probably haven't opened any reservations for the dessert parties. I'd bet they will offer them once the summer fireworks are officially announced.

I am wondering: if you attend Fantasmic before the fireworks, does that essentially eliminate the dessert party as an option (in other words, would I miss the whole dessert party getting out of Fantasmic)?

Correct. One or the other, unless it's the 2nd F!
