If you had to choose, with kids (boys ages 3 and 6, girls ages 13, 15, 18) would you pick
3 days on the Dream in January or
3 days on the Magic in early March

We are booked for March but schedule wise, January would be slightly easier. (Plus closer, and I'm antsy for my first cruise!!!!). I'm excited about the Marvel thing on the Magic for the boys, but Have always imagined when I finally cruise it would be on the Dream. Also keeping weather in mind...... Which would you pick and why?

You live in FL? (be sure to check on FL resident discounts)
January will likely feel colder to you, even in the Bahamas, than March, so I'd go for March.

This is a hard one because I would recommend the Dream for any first time Disney cruisers it is a beautiful ship with so much to do. I have been to the Bahamas in December and in March and it was beautiful both times. We were able to enjoy the water at CC the entire day. January will more than likely be pretty chilly but they do heat the pools on the ships once temps get to a certain point. I will also point out that if time permits I would try to do 4 nights on the Dream so you all can really enjoy the ship. So with all that said I am thinking January Dream, especially if getting in the water at CC is not a must do.

I would do the March Magic. March would be warmer. I enjoy the smaller ship with fewer people, especially on Castaway Cay. The older kids will love the AquaDunk and the Marvel stuff is really cool.

You really can't go wrong. We did the Magic earlier this year and loved it and we'll be doing our 3rd trip on the Dream in February.

Have fun with whichever you choose!

I would choose the Dream in January. I like the bigger ships, however I must admit that we have not been on the Magic since the make-over.
But come on, can you reeaaally go wrong either way?

March is warmer overall and it rained on us last January. However, in January and March I felt it was too cold to swim at CC! I personally like the Magic over the Dream, even though the Dream has more bells and whistles.

March is warmer as others have said and I like the Magic with fewer people. I would also consider if there is a cost difference. Good luck with your decision!! No matter what you decide I know your Disney Cruise will be Magical! :) :)

Thanks everyone! I'm leaning toward March, but if a FL resident deal comes out that might help change my mind. I appreciate all your opinions. I am a newbie at this!

The Magic .......
I only have 1 cruise under my belt (just so you know my thoughts aren't coming from experience). On our 7 night cruise on the Wonder we felt like we left without experiencing everything our smaller ship had to offer. Because of that I would certainly prefer a 7 night or longer cruise on one of the larger ships over only having a few nights onboard.......unless you're a frequent cruiser & will be back soon to experience some things you'll certainly feel you missed out on.
