Which would you choose?

Flying Fish or California Grill?

We faced this same dilemma when making ADRs for our trip in April 2012. We were looking for a place to go on a date, while grandma stays with the kids. We choose Flying Fish because of the entertainment options around that area for before and after dinner, ie The Boardwalk. The food sounds great at both places, but the prices seem a littler better at Flying Fish. Obviously Wishes could be a big draw for Cali Grill. I don't think you can go wrong either way!

They're both great, you can't go wrong either way! That said, I have a slight preference for Flying Fish.

I'm glad to hear that Flying Fish is a good choice. I have a reservation at Yachtsman Steakhouse on Dec. 20 with my DH, but due to his father being in the hospital, he may not be able to go on the trip. I may take my niece instead, and since my DH is allergic to some shellfish, it would be a good time to try Flying Fish. Plus we will be staying at the Boardwalk that night. Sounds like a good plan!

We typically eat at both each trip, California Grill has great food and the views are 2nd to none. That being said Flying Fish is my favorite restaurant at Disney (one of the top overall) and the Boardwalk area is fantastic. My vote would be Flying Fish!

Flying fish's food was much more interesting this past trip. The view from CG is amazing, but the flavors of the food did not stand out like they did at FF.

This shows how tired I am. I will not be staying at the Boardwalk that night; in fact, I will be at AKV. I do have a night reserved at the Boardwalk a couple of nights later. But I will be ending my resort-hopping day at the Epcot resorts on the night I plan on staying at the Boardwalk. Eating at Flying Fish will be the most convenient and according to you guys, the most tasty. It will also get me excited about staying there. Thanks again for all your responses!
