Love the food at 50's Prime Time Cafe, especially the pot roast. Also love how interactive the staff is, the kids really get a kick out of the adults being scolded!!

Sci-Fi. I like their sandwiches and shakes and the atmosphere, of course! It's so fun! I prefer going to 50's PTC for dinner because the food is a little heavier there.

I don't care that much for either, but I definitely prefer Sci-Fi to Primetime. I love the atmosphere and it has an okay menu, good enough for me to enjoy taking in the Drive-In set-up.

Primetime's atmosphere... I don't like it all that much. I'm not much of a fan of the corny antics, either. Just give me my food and leave me alone.

wow - now i'm leaning back towards sci-fi.

which one has better milkshakes or are they about the same?

We ate at Sci-Fi on our trip a few years ago and thought it was fun, but the food was ho-hum, and no one thought we needed to go back on our next trip, which was just this past December. We had lunch at 50's and loved the food and atmosphere so much, we (DH, DS/DD 16) decided to have Christmas Eve dinner there. The fried chicken is amazing, but DD and DH also loved the pot roast and meat loaf.

Depends on your party. The atmosphere at both is really fun. I actually found the food to be about the same. Our next trip will be Sci Fi because we have never taken the kids and I know they'll love it. We went to 50s when MIL was with us and it was her favorite part of the trip.

Everyone will have their own opinion, but I think the food is better at 50's primetime, but the atmospher is better at Sci Fi.

I think the food at 50s is better. The atmosphere at Sci-Fi is really cool. They are both fun to do at least once so you can't really go wrong with either.

sci-fi - I have austic boys - I think the waitress telling them to not eat with their hands would drive the waitress nuts(boys won't listen to them anyways)

actually I stick to counter service - oldest won't wait for a seat for long without pulling someones hair(usually mine but not always so for the other guest we will pass until the time for a trip with just me & hubby)

While the environment at Sci-fi is neat, the food made us feel ill. We were warned time and again on the boards about the poor quality of food but wanted to judge for ourselves. Well, everyone was right!

The 50's has become a tradition. The food is great homestyle grub, and the environment and CM's are fantastic! It is so fun and like I said we now have to do it every trip. We can't wait for our parents and niece to experience it.

Been to both twice...both for the atmosphere. Both are fun to try...but if I had to choose between the two, it would be Prime Time.

Sci Fi is dark and hard to eat. It's fun experience, especially if you have kids. But the food wasn't all that. We really like the comfort food at Prime Time.

Have fun choosing. Check out the menu's and see which one has something you would like to try. Both would be fun.

We have done both and do like both, but we like 50's PT much better than Sci-Fi. Sci-Fi is great for the atmosphere and the seating, but the food is just so-so for us. At 50's the food there is awesome (love the Fried Chicken and the S'mores dessert ). Also the atmosphere is great and the "Cousins" are funny, sometimes they are a hit or a miss but when they are a hit they are truly entertaining.

I didn't vote because we alternate between the two. I would give the edge to Sci-Fi because the atmosphere is so unique. I've only gotten the hamburger and have had no complaints. We've had good servers at Sci-Fi.

To answer your question about milkshakes, I think Prime Times are better. Sci-Fi's are fine but nothing special. In fact the last time we went I got a diet coke to save the calories.

You really can't go wrong (or right:rotfl2:) with either because neither has great food but both have a fun atmosphere.

We have tried both. Sci Fi is the one place we've gone to in all of WDW that the whole family agreed: never again! The service was bad & the food was yuck. While both of these things can be contributed to a bad night, we really didn't enjoy the atmosphere. We are a family of 5. We were seated in one of the cars with middle DD in front row alone, oldest & youngest DDs in middle row together, DH & I in the back row. It was just wierd to eat with my family without actually eating with my family. I didn't like looking at the backs of my kids' heads while I ate. I knew what the tables were like before we went but I guess I didn't think it through.

At 50's PT, we had one of the best servers we've ever had anywhere, in or out of WDW. The food was good & the atmosphere was great. We're going back this May & can't wait!!!
