We are planning a trip to Disney World in November. I have a couple extra reservations I need to cancel. Which would you choose to cancel? We are doing the dining plan and have 6 TS credits.

Monday = Le Cellier for dinner

Tuesday = Teppan Edo for dinner

Wednesday = Crystal Palace for breakfast, Chef Mickey's for dinner

Thursday = Lunch at Sci Fi Dine In, Dinner at Mickey's Backyard BBQ (counts for two TS)

Friday = Lunch at 50's Prime Time Cafe, Dinner at Liberty Square

We have 3 adults, an 8 year old, twin 6 year olds and a 1 year old

Thanks for any advice!!!

I would cancel the BBQ and maybe pay for CP out of pocket since breakfast is cheaper. We did the BBQ several years ago and it was fun but the food was just ok for us. Not sure the two credits IMHO.

I would cancel Liberty Square & Mickey's BBQ. I would definitely not cancel Le Cellier, Chef Mickey's or Crystal Palace. I would definitely keep Teppan Edo too.

I would pay for CP OOP since breakfasts are less expensive, and think about changing the lunches to counter service. When my kids were younger, 2 table service restaurants within a few hours would be a little much for them.

just curious, are you planning on being in Epcot the 1st 2 days or are you just planning on going there for dinner at night? Depending on your tickets, your family, where you are staying, etc, it may not be worth the haul there just for dinner IMO.

That said, I would cancel Liberty Tree Tavern (if that is what you said is Liberty Square) and Crystal Palace for b'fast. I would also change Teppan Edo to something different, especially if you have Japanese steakhouses by you at home, the Teppan Edo one is not nearly as good as our local ones.

Cancel the BBQ and either 50's PT or SciFi. 50's and SciFi are pretty similar although 50's get better reviews.

If I cancel the BBQ, I could keep all the others b/c the BBQ is equal to two Table Service meals. No, I guess I don't really need to be in Epcot two days in a row and I was wondering about the transportation issue. Also, am wondering if my kids are just gonna wanna be at MK and won't care about dinners. However, during the week we are there, there are three nights MK closes at 7 for the holiday party (we are not going). Those nights are Tues, Thurs and Friday which is why I thought the BBQ on Thursday would be good. Is the BBQ really crowded? How long does it take to get there?

I would cancel Teppan Edo! I was not impressed. If you have a Hibatchi in your town or city it would probably be much better.

If you are needing to free up 3 credits then I would cancel Mickey's BBQ and Liberty Tree Tavern. Now that the characters are no longer at LTT, it's really not that great of an option. I feel the food was alway subpar there and really only went for the character interaction.

All of the rest that you have listed are some of our families favorites and are great choices!

Wow really? This is one of our favorites and pretty much a must do every trip! Our kids love it (ages 9 and 4)!

I only need to free up 2 credits. We have a total of 6.

I was just adding up the credits from what you have listed. If you have a total of 6 credits and aren't planning on paying for any meals out of pocket then you need to free up 3 credits.

One other observation I had is if you do plan on keeping the Mickey's BBQ....I would definitely cancel your Sci-Fi lunch. You are talking about A LOT of food for that BBQ dinner and if you have a sit down lunch you probably won't be hungry enough to justify having the BBQ for dinner. JMHO.

Monday = 1 credit
Tuesday = 1 credit
Wednesday = 2 credits
Thursday = 3 credits
Friday = 2 credits

Total credits = 9

i would probably cancel the 2 ts credit mickeys backyard bbq .. its not that awesome and definitely not worth 2 ts!! :eek:
i would keep your crystal palace breakfast as its the only breakfast you have ... and its lovely there :cloud9:
if you need to cancel any more, id cancel the 50s prime time lunch

I've never done the BBQ, but my brother-in-law was so disappointed in the food there (his 4 kids all complained) that he told a CM about it and got some sort of refund. So I'd say if it's not a "must do" then I'd cancel that one for sure.
We loved Teppan Edo and are booked there for our next trip.

I wouldn't cancel the BBQ if you could help it because the kids would really have a blast there. My vote is to get rid of Le Cellier and Teppen Edo. I don't find either of those restaurants to be that great. Coral Reef would be a good option with your kids when you are at Epcot. They will love the aquarium.

I wouldn't do two character buffets in one day, I think it'd be a bit much. I'd also probably cancel the BBQ and Sci Fi.

Chef Mickeys because the food is terrible.

Teppan Edo because the cost is high for the amount of food you get...click on my Aug link for a review and pics and menu pics...we just ate there 2 days ago
