Which would be more crowded?

After seeing the HEA preview, I'm rethinking my plans for my October trip. I'm thinking of moving my park days around, but I want to avoid crowds if at all possible. I have two days in the parks. I want to do AK one night (assuming the hours get extended between now and then) and MK the other night (to see HEA in the park). The two nights are the Saturday before Halloween and the Monday before Halloween. AK has Morning EMH on Saturday, MK has Evening EMH on Monday. Which would be more crowded? Should I do AK on Saturday and MK on Monday or vice versa?

Always avoid Saturday when you can. If it's also EMH night, definitely avoid Saturday.

That said, all non party nights that time of year are really busy.

Monday is night EMH at MK that day, it will be PACKED!!! So will the Saturday.

That said, we plan to be at MK both those nights! :p

I would probably do AK on the Monday - my thinking is more people will go to MK for EMH at night because there are parties for the next two nights.

AK does not have EMH Evening hours, just EMH Morning hours. So will that make AK horrible at night?

If Monday is PM EMH, then I'd probably flip a coin.

Is there a non party non EMH night the MK is open that week? If so, I'd probably be willing to adjust the rest of my schedule to pick that night instead.

Oh no! I don't do well with big crowds. My original plan was to go to MK on a party day and leave at 7:00, but I kind of want to see HEA in the park. I'm not sure if it will be worth fighting the crowds though. Maybe I should save HEA for another trip.

Only Saturday.

To be honest, MK will be packed both nights, partially because of the Halloween Party creates pent up demand for MK. Just pick the park that works best for you and get ready for a crowded evening at MK.

Yeah, I'm not one to overstate crowds. When we went on a Saturday night (non-party), it was SUPER crowded.
That said - we still had a great time, we just saved our fast passes for the night. :)

Sorry I misread. No way to know yet really how AK crowds are going to be in the fall. I tend to plan all of my other park stuff around the MK. Saturdays are crazy in the MK. PM EMH nights are crazy in the MK. Flip a coin.

I would be having the same dilemma. I hate crowds too and would probably be trying to see it in the parks as well. I'd probably put on my flack jacket and give it a go. But I'd definitely go in with a plan. Maybe do the dessert party with the Plaza Garden fireworks viewing included?

Go on a MNSSHP day, it will be less crowded and catch the Halloween fireworks from either the Poly (not a straight on view) or GF (more centered view) grab a snack, drink, or QS from the restaurants there.

I thought about the dessert party. We've done it before; my DH loved it, me not so much. We just don't eat like that anymore. But it might be worth it to avoid the crowds. But when I looked to book, there was no availability. Is it because it's too soon?

This was our original plan. We were going to watch HalloWishes from TOTWL at Bay Lake Tower. Sounds so much less stressful. But it doesn't solve the problem for watching HEA inside the park.

Would MNSSHP on Halloween be less crowded than MK the night before (a non-party day)?

The Halloween MNSSHP will sell out, so it will still be crowded. Probably not as crowded as the Monday, but it will still be very crowded. Personally, I would not do MK on that Monday (in fact we are there that week, and deliberately planned around that Monday). Saturday night will be crowded, but I don't think it will be as crowded as the Monday. If you want to see HEA inside the park, you'll have to deal with the crowds. Your other option would be to get the park hopper and hop to MK on either Sat or Mon just for that and nothing else.
