Which weeks in September 2020?

Hi Everyone

We're planning a two week DLR vacation from New Zealand. We like to go when it's relatively quiet and are looking at September 2020 as it looks like the weather will still be good and local schools will be mostly back from their summer breaks. Is there a particular couple of weeks in that month that you would suggest or avoid? Thanks!

Monday, September 7, is Labor Day in the United States, so a lot of people have a three-day weekend. I don't think it's horrible that weekend at Disneyland (since it's so soon after summer vacation ends for most schools), but it'll be somewhat busier.

Other than that, September should be pretty good. It'll probably get a little busier toward the end of the month, so if you want the best two week stretch, I'd suggest something pretty much right in the middle. But that's really splitting hairs.

I love September and have already booked the week of September 20. Not sure exactly when but Haunted Mansion closes to get it's Christmas/Halloween overlay at some point so a visit at middle to end of September should guarantee it's open. Halloween parties generally start middle of the month too, if that interests you.

HM usually goes down sometime during the third week of August and comes back up with the NBC overlay the first day of Halloween Time in September (usually the Friday of the second week). By your trip dates, HMH will by up and running and Halloween Time should be in full swing.

Thanks guys. Looking at a public holiday calendar I am seeing something called California Admission Day on Sept 9th. Is that a thing?

Admissions day is the date California was officially made a part of the union. I worked for the county and loved that it was considered a paid holiday. But I don't believe people actually have the day off.
