We will be moving my DD to California at the end of May, and are adding a few days of Disneyland to the fun. It will be me, DH,DS 18, DD, DGS 13 mos, DS, DDIL, DGS 2 (almost 3) and DGD about 10 mos. Maybe DSIL, he is in the military and won't know if he can come until later.
It will be the grandkids 1st trip to a Disney park, and I am super excited. We can go either the week before Memorial Day, or the week OF Memorial DAy. Which would be better crowd wise? I am thinking the week before, but wanted some other opinions. And I am kind of sad that we will not get to see Carsland, since my grandson loves the cars movie, but I am glad we will miss the crowds!!!

It should be fine going either week. While the 3day weekend is busy, on Tuesday it has dropped back down to a calm. People have to get back to school and work.

Make sure you include a weekend night or two, including a Friday, if you want to see the night shows.

Also it's possible that Carsland will be open, this could make for crazy crowds. If you want that it's more likely to happen after Memorial day than before.

Make sure you look into the Military ticket rates and room rates.

after I submitted the message, I looked at DS's school schedule, and realized that the week before Memorial Day is slated as "inclement weather" days. So, if there are no snow days, the he will be out of school, but if there are, then he won't be. I guess we should go the week of, to be safe. This is DS's senior year... I don't want him to miss the last week of high school!
