In the beginning stages of planning our 2020 trip :)
Would you choose Feb 29-March 7 or April 25-May 2 and why. Easter is April 12 next year for reference. Thanks!

all personal preference with so many personal aspects. For me I’d do the late April and that’s what’s I’m doing. Going down around May 10th. I just love the April May weather in Florida personally.

First let me tell you, I am local to Disneyland and frequently go, my wife is also a substitute teacher, so I tend to pay attention to school breaks and such.

Overall you will have a lot less schools on break Feb 29 - March 7, some of the smaller districts may go on break the first week of March, but there are the exception and not the rule. You will have a lot of schools on break and even some getting out of school already April 25-May 2 (although closer to May 2 for the getting out of school ones) and crowds will be substantially larger during that time frame.

As for Star Wars, I think that Disney will have a handle on that by Mid January at the latest, as they will have already learned a lot from Disneyland prior to even opening at DHS.

Wow, I don't know any schools outside of universities that are out for summer by the first couple weeks of May. Most go until end of May/early June.

OP - we are going May 6-15, I think the end of April/beginning of May sounds great! Warm weather for swimming, Flower and Garden...can't wait!

End of April/Early May is a great time to go. It's wedged in there between Spring break and memorial day weekend. It will still be moderate crowds but the weather is usually pretty good. Plus you get the Flower/Garden festival. I might be in the minority but I tend to like it better than Food & Wine as Epcot seems not to be as crazy plus you don't get a lot of drunks like with Food and Wine.

Probably April with your dates. Mardi Gras is Feb 25th next year and approximately 87% of Louisiana is going to pack up and head to WDW for the week

Geaux Tigers!

Just expect both times to be busy though. Hours might be better in April. I prefer cooler weather and don’t care about flower and garden so I would go earlier, but that’s me.

I would do April as well for less crowds. The other date like the previous poster said is Mardi Gras and close to spring break

I would definitely do the April/May dates both for nicer weather and to let the Star Wars stuff have a little longer to get sorted out. I think that may be a cluster for a while.

Another vote for April. The weather tends to be better.
As mentioned, with SWGE opening (most likely) sometime in December, the first few months, at least, will be crazy.

I would do April. We were there last year for the first week of March and the temperatures were really low (mind you, they had been higher than usual all through February). I prefer the cooler weather for the parks, but a big part of going to Florida for my family is also enjoying the pool time and water rides, and we really couldn't do that with highs below 70 degrees. Temps will be starting to get pretty warm as you get into May, but at least they are a bit more predictable.

April 25-May 2 for sure!:)

IMHO,the prettiest ANY of the 4 Parks look all year is Epcot during F&G!

Just a note-your dates coincide with HUGE Cheer Competitions if you are looking at the Values/Mods.:)
