I realize there is other August 2010 threads out there, but I thought it would be fun to see everybody's weeks together in a poll. Also a way to give an idea of the anticipated crowds, LOL.

Ready for August yet???:cheer2:

Im going the 24th-30th..I'm hearing mixed reviews on the crowds... some people say itll be kind of crowded with the disney free dining plan starting and some say its not with no wait..

Just changed our trip from Sept to August 20-31st. While talking to the CM who helped me, he said crowds won't be like peak season, but not like the middle of Sept. like we are used to. I guess we will see!

Here's hoping for LIGHT crowds!! pixiedust:

August 14-19

I have only been in May and Sept before, so I hope the crowds aren't too crazy!

Hi everyone! My family and I... DH & 9yr old DS are planning our first trip to DW Aug.7th-14th. We're staying at the POP resort. We can't wait!!!:woohoo::yay:

We'll be at the BC Aug 6-12 and hoping for low crowds too. We were there last in June 2008 and the crowds were moderate to high.

We'll be there August 22-28. We went the same week last year. The crowds weren't too bad. We only had one day that DHS was insane -- and that was because it was a Fantasmic night. I'm hoping the crowds are the same this year. :goodvibes:goodvibes:goodvibes

We are looking at Aug 26- Spet 7. Nothing has been booked, waiting to see what deals are offered.

I am booked three different weeks because I am waiting to hear from a school about a teaching position.

We are booked the 15 - 24, or 21 - 29 or 29 - 6. I love the 29 - 6 as this is our traditional week and the week I had ALL of my ADR's set for. I have since had to find ADR's for the other weeks but limited them to the ones I thought hardest to get. :scared:

We were there that time last year, and even with free dining it wasn't bad at all. I really expected much worse.

Bumping this up to get more to respond. Hopefully we can get a better picture on who's going when! :goodvibes

I'm actually splitting weeks (Aug 13-19), but voted the 15-21, since that's closest to accurate. We picked our dates based on cheapest flights!

We will be at POR Aug 16 -23. Can't wait for our second trip as a family. I think I am the only excited one. My wife isn't as enthusiastic as me. I am doing all the planning and I am addicted to these boards, esp with the FD promo. Luckily I was able to add this to our reservation on Friday saving a nice amount.

We are surprising our 11 year old son. Gonna be difficult we have to drop two dogs off to my parents. He will suspect something, but we have plenty of time to think of how to pull it off. We don't plan on telling him until we pull into the airport.

Anyway love the DIS and thanks to it saved a bundle. My wife thinks I am addicted to this. :rotfl:

Hey, us too. We're staying at the BC from Aug 6th until Aug 14th. I'm so excited!!!

We are going to be there August 8th-14th doing a split stay at POFQ and the Polynesian. I am super excited. We've never stayed at the Poly before. We normally go the 3rd week in August and I am hoping the crowds won't be too bad during the 2nd week.

I guess I'm super bored, so tonight I'm on the WDW site just checking to see if my dates are still available. Do you think this is weird, with only 3 months to go? When we went in 2008, before I ever knew of DIS boards, or PIN codes or even FD, we paid rack rate & I booked in Feb. and I remembering checking a couple months before going and it was all booked up. Not sure if tis is a bad sign or a good sign!

teach36 - We might see each other.
