Which week will be cheaper to fly?

I usually fly Southwest from Long Island to Orlando, but I am not far from JFK and am willing to use another airline. We can go to Disney either the 3rd week (8/20/11-8/27/11) or the 4th week (8/27/11-9/3/11) of August. From another thread we were advised that the 4th week would be less busy. We were surprised by that as the 4th week ends during Labor Day Weekend & we assumed that would bring bigger crowds. Anyway, we trust the info and were ready to book when we realized that flying might cost more that weekend. We would deal with slightly higher crowds for lower airfare. It is too far in advance to check with the airlines, so I'm hoping some of you have flown during these timeframes and can help me determine what we should do. I want to make Disney reservations soon - before price & availability change. Thank you in advance!!

No, you can check fares now for the legacy airlines, at least for the first set of dates. Try an Expedia search.

I'm not able to check the last week, so can not compare the two!

Checking for the first week will give you a much better idea of what the airfare will be than relying on prices a year ago. It's very likely the prices for the second dates will be very similar, if not the same, as the week before.

I wouldn't expect the two weeks to be dramatically different from one another.
