Which week is less crowded?

I know no one can determine the crowd level at any given time, but if you have gone to Disney at these times, what has been your experience?

I am looking at first week of May or first week of October.

Oh, weather advice would be nice too!

We have been both and I think they are VERY similar. I prefer October because I like vacationing in the Fall and I like the Fall decor at WDW. Also, I think the weather in Oct is slightly less humid.....usually!

Based on touringplans.com, 1st week of Oct would be slightly less crowded (crowd levels for Oct 2010 are 4's for all days that week) vs. May (which is a mix of 4's and 5's the first week). The #'s are on a scale of 1 - 10, but there are no days below 4 on the crowd level.

We've been end of May; 1st and 2nd week of September, and 2nd and 3rd week of October in different years. Even though September was hotter, we liked September the best. The crowds were the smallest in September. Now, we are limited to October as that is Fall Break for school. We like October. We had a cold spell last year for a few days (had to wear a jacket at night), but other than that, no problems.
