Which week in August ?

After having a wonderful trip last April with low crowds and minimal waits. It looks like our next trip will have to be in August. My question is which week would you go. I am kind of leaning towards the last week of the month. Any thoughts would be appreciated. It would most likely be from Sun afternoon to Friday.

Last August we went the 9-15. It was actually sparse at Ca, and wonderful at DL except for the hours of noon-4 pm. It got really crowded then , so we went back to the hotel for a dip in the pool. When we returned about 5p.m. They were moderately busy, but not impossible. I must say I expected much worse.!! I have heard that the last week is even less crowded though. I would consider taking advantage of early morning entry and late night (midnight ) hours. We accomplished a lot during those hours! Good luck and have fun!

We went from the 13-23 last year. Crowds were manageable, not too busy. Largest wait I saw for Space Mountain was around 25 minutes. Use Fast Pass to your advantage! Have a great time.

We went two years ago in the same time period. SM FP's were gone by 1100 and the line was 1.5 to 2 hours long. Very doable but you go early and stay late.

One thing to watch for in Aug is the end of AP blockout dates. We went last year on Aug 22-24 and Sunday the 24th was the busiest of these days because it was the first weekend day all summer that holders of SoCal APs could visit the park. Best of luck -- Suzanne
