Hi,

My wife and I are planning a trip for next year May 28-June 4 and we were really wondering which WDW has the best concierge service. We are primarily looking at Contemporary and Polynesian because of the monorail service, but would be willing to stay someplace else if it has better concierge service.

Thanks

I have done Poly, BC, and WL concierge and can tell you that I liked the Poly the best. WL did not have that great of offerings during my stay and the balconies are horrible because the wall is so high you can not see over it. The BC was a good experience. There food was good and we liked that we could walk right to Epcot. The lounge was on the small side though. Poly was our favorite. You have your own bldg. The offerings were great. They pipe in music so you can sit in the lounge and watch WISHES with the full effect or you can walk down to the beach and relax on a swing or lounge chair and watch Wishes. Plus you have the 9 depth entry pool which I love with kids and the Monorail is fantastic. I have stayed at AKL but not in concierge, but have heard excellent things about AKL concierge and hope to try it out at some point. Good luck. It is a tough decision.:Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc

I'll have to vote for the Polynesian Concierge as well. We have enjoyed every stay at the Polynesian and have never run into a problem they couldn't help with or fix for us. You can't go wrong with the Polynesian...

The concierge at the BC, YC and GF offer great service and they all have good pionts but for some reason we always return to the Polynesian.

Good Luck!!! no matter what you choose, you can't go wrong!

I believe the AKL is the best for overall concierge service, BC comes in second and their food is amazing, then finally Polynesian. I placed the Polynesian last because in my experience, it's premises is the most run down and overall service, including maid service fluctuates like the wind changes direction.

When we stayed in December last year, they brought us up to our room which was allegedly clean. The room looked like it had been hit by a hurricane. We were compelled to clean it again ourselves even after maid service.

While the Concierge planning desk and the Concierge offerings were wonderful, the other aspects of the experience were sub standard when conpared to the overall Concierge experience at BC and AKL.

One of the major aspects that keeps us returning to the Polynesian is the monorail, the view of the Castle, the fireworks and light parade at night. We prefer the third floor and the view is amazing.

Still, when we stayed last in room 3509, there was a marble tile in the bathroom that had been subjected to so much "questionable substances" directly in front of the toilet, you felt compelled to step around it anytime you walked in.

This is not an experience I'd recommend shelling out the $330-450 a night it costs to stay there.

Put a monorail to AKL and you won't be able to stay there unless you plan months in advance. BC is just wonderful in itself. Totally different experience. They served dishes such as "Lobster Turnovers" and "Chicken Wellington" along with an abundance of Chocolates and other goodies.

Decide on the type of theme you really desire and let that guide you. If you also want to be close to the park, there's no better choice than the Polynesian in my opinion, faults and all.

We've only stayed at the concierge level once - at the Poly - but it was an incredible experience and we truly hope to do it again someday. Our room was in good shape and the service and amenities were great!! :cloud9:

We did visit the concierge floor (7) at the WL for future reference and it seemed nice, though not as comfy, spacious or as well situated as the concierge building at the Poly (and it's lower price reflects that fact). We decided, though, that it would be a great place to stay also.

Chances are you will love the extra Magic at whichever resort you choose, good luck. :flower3:

We are staying at the BC concierge, and I have to tell you the pre-planning staff in IPO (Itinerary Planning Office) is just incredible. They have been so helpful in getting our requests filled and suggesting things we might not have thought of.

Someone just posted that they had been at BC CL in March-04 and again last week (8/0 - 8/13) and said the food offerings were improved over March (which was pretty good to begin with).
The staff in the lounge was wonderful, and very accomodating.
Some people say the small concierge lounge makes for a very warm and cozy feeling, more persanable then the larger lounges.

just my 2 cents worth.

I have stayed Concierge at AKL and at BWI. I absolutely loved and was very impressed with both!
They are so different in terms of decor and style that it is hard to compare them. We had excellent CMs in both cases, through Itinerary Planning and also at the resort during our stay.
AKL is unique in that it offers the Sunrise and Sunset Safaris, which truly set it apart from all other resorts.
I recommend both the BWI and the AKL CL HIGHLY!:earsgirl:

The CR (14th Floor) has the best concierge, hands down, in my opninion. There are very few concierge guests, so the service is more personal; the food offerings come directly from the kitchen of the California Grill; the room decor is updated and more sophisticated; the views are some of the best in WDW.

Oh! This is the hardest question to answer!
I love the BWI, AKL, BC, YC, Poly CLs and they all have their own "personalities", but the 14th floor lounge at the CR was awesome!
We were treated like royalty!princess:
And like Demosthenes said, the food offerings from the California Grill are fabulous!

But, that being said.... the best beds on property are at the Epcot CL's!::yes::

when the 14th floor CR does their bed upgrades this next year,
(new matresses and linens) then they WILL be the best.
The end.:teeth:

Had to add.....best concierge IPO is tied between the Bc/YC/BWI IPO and the AKL IPO.
they are wonderful!!!!::yes::

Now...I really have you confused!

And GoofyJoofy...you are right about the size of the lounge!
that's why I love the CR, BC and BWI.
Very warm and intimate.
you are treated like no other guests are there!

either way, concierge at WDW is wonderful!
Enjoy wherever you stay and join us at the Lizard Lounge to report your adventures when you return!:wave2:

We've only done Concierge/ IPO at BI (Honeymoon) and YC and both were fantastic. Amy at IPO YC completed our itinerary (and I had a LOT of stuff scheduled for 10 days)...all PSs and recreation confirmations for October... in less than 24 hours.
Last trip at YC, Pam at IPO was totally there for us the whole trip.

Here's a thought.... split your stay at the two that appeal to you the most!

We have stayed Concierge at the Poly, GF, BC, AKL, and YC. As mentioned by several, all have their attributes.

Taking into consideration ALL components of concierge, including the resort itself, location, etc.....I would vote for the Poly.

I like "sters" idea of staying at the two that appeal to you most.
::yes::
