Which WDW Hotel ...

This is really tough for me because I'd be happy at any place in the World. :teeth:

Although I have plunked down some $$$ for AKL (and loved it!), I just have a hard time justifying the prices of some of these resorts. Now, if I could choose the resort without the accompanying guilt, I would choose the Contemporary towers or the Polynesian preferred views.

By the way, my Treehouse stay was a lot of fun. However, I think we had the worst transportation service of anyone. We ended up having to catch a cab several times.

The Poly and The Boardwalk would be my choice for my 50th BD in 2 years! :thumbsup2

The Tree Houses along the Sassagoula. :guilty:

But I'd also love to stay at the Wilderness Lodge or the Polynesian.

Ever since staying at the Poly, I'm spoiled, but I really would like to try the WL. I suppose the runner up would be the GF (even though I always rag on it and say the lobby reminds me of the Titanic movie set).

The Beach Club. Not because of Storm Along Bay (we actually swam there when we were allowed to pool hop to that one during the pool closure at the Polynsian back in 2000) but because of the calm feel of it and the location. I love the Epcot area of WDW and I have stated at the BWV, but something about the Beach Club... the colors and feel I think, really calls out to me :)

For me it would be Beach Club with Wilderness Lodge coming in second. Beach Club for the proximity to MGM and Epcot and of course Storm Along Bay. Wilderness Lodge b/c the atmosphere just forces you to relax.

i think i've stayed at almost all of the hotels including in a tree house! that was WAY cool
i'd love to do an extended stay at a boardwalk 3 bedroom villa or any 3 bedroom villa.. but i'd want housekeeping services! lol.

Animal Kingdom Lodge.

If I ever decided to stay onsite the only I could afford would be that of Value - which is actually fine with me because it screams Disney, but I heard nothing but nice things about AKL.

Boardwalk and GF. I loved both when I saw them.

The first one would be the Boardwalk, I just love the look of it. Second would be the Animal Kingdom. It looks like that would be a fun resort.

I've always kind of wanted to stay at the Polynesian, just because I love the theming and I've always thought it'd be cool to stay in a resort that had the monorail come right to it. I mean, the rest of WDW transportation is fine, but there's still something a little magical about the monorail to me.

I checked another resort off the list in August when we stayed at the Wilderness Lodge for part of the trip. It was absolutely gorgeous, it was cool to sit on the beach and watch the Electrical Water Pageant, and the little added touch of the smell of vanilla in the hallway was really cool.

For me it is the Contemporary, high in the tower, Magic Kingdom view. We came awfully close to booking it for this trip, but got such a great AP rate at the AKL that I could not pas it up. Oh well, maybe next trip!

I am really curious now. Where are the treehouses you have been talking about. They sound interesting.

For me, I'd say the Beach Club. I've only visited it to see their Christmas decorations. It looks soooo pretty, and it's close to the Boardwalk, which also looks awesome. Plus, they have the best pool. :teeth: Hopefully some day I'll be able to stay there now that my family is a DVC member!

Second choice: Animal Kingdom Lodge. I think it would be so cool to have those animals right there.

We normally stay in the cabins at Fort Wilderness. I've stayed at WL, AKL, and for one night we were evacuated to the Contemporary. I just came back from Coronado Springs. Out of those, the cabins are my favorite.

For similar reasons as the OP stated, I'd stay at the Poly. When I was a kid we stayed at the CR but never the Poly and I loved riding the monorail past it! They were the only resorts then -- those and the "Golf Resort" (dating myself here...) :teeth:

they are over near DTD, it used to be in the 'disney institute' area. i don't know why they closed the treehouses down but they were cool! :thumbsup2
i'm not sure if they were all the same but we had 2 bedrooms with a kitchen and 2 baths upstairs and in the 'trunk' there was a cool 3rd bedroom. outside was a big deck with patio furniture.
we saw them when driving by last visit on our way to SSR. i was tempted to walk over and take a peek around.

The Boardwalk would be my first choice. I love the Epcot resort area so really I would be happy at any of the Epcot hotels.
