Thinking about renting at DVC next year. Just wondered if Disney provides better service with fixing problems in a unit or does the DVC? I know it is a big price difference but wondered if you felt the extra was worth it by renting from Disney? Hope this makes sense.
Yes, I was talking about maintenance issues and I think you all answered them very well. Do you feel it is worth the extra for peace of mind with a reservation from Disney instead of a DVC member? So, if a room happens to have a big problem, Disney could move us but if we rent ,then it has to go through the owner of the DVC property?
No, no, no!So, if a room happens to have a big problem, Disney could move us but if we rent ,then it has to go through the owner of the DVC property?
Crisi's right, and this is exactly our situation as owners as well. If the situation warrants it, we move free; if not (in the Mouse's opinion), we pay. However, DVC will not move you because you "don't like" the room - or if they do they will charge you a fee to move. They'll move you if there is a problem severe enough to warrent moving, but your definition of severe and Disney's may not be the same.
Thanks for the help guys. I was worried that if we rented we may be left high and dry if there was a problem. That is good to hear that the reservation is treated the same if there is a maintenance problem.
