Which way to Resort Hop from Swan to BC?

We'll be spending three nights at the Swan and then moving to the Beach Club for two nights. We've done resort switching via taxi before, but this time the two resorts are so close together we're considering all the options. My wife and I will have one large rolling suitcase each and several over-the-shoulder things.

So, which transportation would you choose and why?

1) taxi
2) Disney bus (they go to Swan then Dolphin then YC then BC before heading out to a park)
3) Disney water taxi (they go to BW, then to YC/BC dock)
4) walk (aound Dolphin and YC to BC)

Thanks!

Can't you just have Bell Services transfer the luggage, maybe carry-over what you really need at the time.

I'm not sure that's possible, since the Swan is a Starwood hotel. I should know the answer to that, but I don't!

If they won't move luggage, I'd just walk over. (But I tend not to have heavy bags when I travel).

Reviewing your options:
1 - taxi is certainly possible
2 - bus, well that's different (and we're assuming it goes to YC/BC next)
3 - boat goes directly to YC/BC dock, then to BW (I like this better than the bus idea)
4 - walk, but if you take the shortest route, those wood boards along the waterfront will not be good for the rollers on a suitcase

I would check into the bell services luggage transfer. I have heard both Yeah and Nay on that, since it is not between WDW resorts.
Good luck.

To just go from the Swan to BC I don't see why bell services won't bring them over for you.

If for some reason they won't then I would just walk them over, even if it took two trips, it's not a far walk. I can't see paying for a taxi.

As long as your luggage has wheels, I'd walk over - even if it takes two trips.

I'd check on transfer too but if it's a no go, I'd take a taxi.

The buses will be crowded most likely in the am and as Robert said, some don't go to Y&BC from the Swan. The boat does stop next at the Y&BC after leaving S/D but it's still a hike to the lobby.

A taxi will save you time and time is money at WDW especially for a 5 night stay.

The taxi won't take much less than walking. Walking isn't much more than 10 minutes. Taxi - probably 5. It's very comparable.

It's crazy to take a taxi and when you see the short distance you'll kick yourself for paying for a taxi. With wheels on the luggage and only shoulder bags walking will not be a problem. You'll probably even get there faster on foot than the taxi.

Well, I've eliminated bus and taxi, so it's either the launch or walking. Does anybody know if they'll allow luggage on the boat?

Thanks!

I myself have never seen anyone on the boat with luggage but I don't know if that means you can't. I would ask.

It is a short walk, but it will seem longer if you are pulling a bag behind you with another one over your shoulder. It will definitely take longer than it would if you were walking without the bags.

The taxi ride, meanwhile, won't take even 5 minutes and will be much quicker than walking. Given how short the ride would be, the fare will also not be very high. I would go that route.

Bear in mind, I don't know what the exact fare amount is, but they do charge an initial flat rate as soon as they pull out so there is a minimum which could actually be more than the actual ride itself.

I would figure on between $7 and $10 including tip (maybe $5 plus a $2 tip?) - which is a lot for something that should be a very easy walk.

That sounds about right. I could get a decent lunch for that:idea:

Me too! Earl of Sandwich, or WP Express (close to $7.00 anyway!) - mmm, a margherita pizza! Or a slice of pizza on the BW, with an ice cream dessert at the Seashore place. :)

Fish and Chips in England at Epcot, wonderful bakery items on the BW or a slice of pizza on the BW, you would be surprise what you could get:coffee:

I don't think that they allow luggage on the boats.I know that luggage is not allowed on the buses.Personally, I would just walk it over if bell services can't help you out.
