What is the best watermark for a family with two 5/6 year olds and a 2 year old? We've purchased wp&m tickets for our Vacation next year. We're planning to do at least one day where instead of doing rope drop at a park we go to a water park.

Is there an all encompassing thread detailing the water parks!

I prefer Typhoon Lagoon over Blizzard Beach. When I was around 5/6, that wave pool was the coolest thing ever! They also have an area where you can snorkel!

OP, I would choose Blizzard Beach for children that age. My DD got very bad scrapes on her knees and hip after being knocked down and dragged along the rough pool bottom by the wave in Typhoon Lagoon. The cast member at first aid said it happens frequently to smaller kids. My DD is now 15 and refuses to go back to Typhoon Lagoon. The family raft ride is MUCH better at Blizzard Beach as well.

When I was younger I preferred Blizzard Beach, it's just a "cooler" theme, the rides are better & there is a sizeable children's water park area they can play in - it always feels much more energetic. As I got older I gravitated more towards Typhoon Lagoon as it was more peaceful to relax.

On our trip in August, my daughter wants 1 day in a water park. She likes Blizzard Beach better for the theme and slides.
You really can't go wrong with either water park. Both have their perks.

Blizzard Beach 1000% for the under 48" crowd. Flip a coin if everyone is bigger.

I asked this same thing for our upcoming trip, traveling with an 8 & 5 year old and was told almost unanimously - Blizzard Beach. The reasons I was given:

1. The wave pool at TL is very rough - the waves are rough and the bottom of the pool is rough, so if they get knocked over they could get pretty scraped up
2. The family raft ride is better at BB
3. The lazy river is longer at BB
4. The wave pool is much tamer at BB
5. The snorkeling is not great for young kids for a couple reasons. The first being the water is kept quite cool for the animals which can bother kids (and adults!) and also because the snorkel masks that you have to use, are spray treated with a very harsh chemical that tends to burn their skin and hurts/stings.

My own personal input just from looking them over, definitely BB, for all the reasons i was given, but also for two words: Tobaggan Racers. Seriously, check those things out -they look awesome!

Blizzard beach, hands down. My 4&7 year olds hated the snorkeling at TL, and loved the ski patrol area at BB. The little kids section at Bb is fantastic for tiny kids. And the bigger kids have so much they can do there

I appreciate the replies as well .. my sister-in-law was asking the same question for her family (young kids).

Sounds like Blizzard Beach is the place for little ones!

Thanks everyone! We'll have 8 total admissions with wp&m so we'll probably visit both, but sounds like BB will be our waterpark day! Now I need to find info on how best to use the wp&m admissions. Iirc from our last trip they were also good for Disney Quest and mini Golf?

Great thread, I was about to ask the same question for my 1,3,5, and 7 year olds, but it was already answered here. Tks all.
