I like both but DD prefers Typhoon Lagoon so I went with that one, but I like both for different reasons so it was a touch choice

We are doing the watermarks for the first time this August! My kids are constantly watching tube videos of the parks, they are getting so excited!

Depends on what you like. High slides, good play area for the 7-12 set, large family raft ride = BB

Wave pool, swimming with sharks, more general water slides (except the water coaster type one) = TL

I personally love TL. It depends on what your looking for. TL is more laid back and a tropical feel. The wave pool is absolutely huge and the waves are just as big and fun to ride! If you have little ones keep them at the shallow end it can get crazy out there but in a good way. The lazy river is nice and relaxing and pretty big. The water slides are more kid and family friendly. BB is known for their thrilling slides, if that's what your looking for ideally go to BB. It's also a winter wonderland setting not that it matters much how it's themed but to some people that Is a deciding factor believe it or not. But like I said for my family and younger ones we like the setting and slides and options of TL. Either way both are great you will enjoy either!! :)

I am one of those people. I live in a place that can have snow on the ground for many months of the year. When I go on vacation the last thing I want to see is more snow - even the fake kind.

We've only been to TL, I couldn't bring myself to go to BB last trip. It was April and we had just got over winter from where I live last thing I wanted to see was snow real or fake.

I'm from New England so I agree that's why I stated it because those of us that get slammed with snow definitely use that in a deciding factor of not going to BB lol but it sounds silly unless you live in a place that gets alot of snow, alot of people don't understand because its "fake" but that is just another reason I love TL, love the tropic feel!

my son likes TL better, the girls prefer BB.

at TL the ice cream bucket is a must!!

I like both, but I voted for Typhoon. Blizzard is the better "water park"---the slides are generally more interesting. But, Typhoon is the "more Disney" park. The Blizzard theming always strikes me as just an overlay, perhaps because it's just too hot for the "snow" to even sort of work in terms of placemaking. Typhoon's theme just works better, and it has a few less-common attractions---Shark Reef and the wave pool in particular.

We've never had it but we are definitely trying it on our trip this year!!!

DH and DD 12 love thrill rides. DD 8 likes calm shallow pools. Based on this which waterpark is the best for our family?

Also we live at the beach in North Carolina and we get hurricanes but very little snow.

I would do Blizzard Beach. Their family raft ride was fun. They have an AWESOME kids play area which will be great for the 8 yr old. The thrill rides are better at Blizzard Beach. I actually prefer the snow theme at BB - I just think it's so unique for a waterpark! The chairlift ride was a fun way to get to the top of the mountain. For your thrill seekers, Summit Plummit is not for the faint hearted. Even my thrill ride DD freaked out and didn't ride it (although she regrets that now).

That said - Typhoon Lagoon's wave pool is absolutely amazing. My DS in particular really adored it. I also got the best Photopass pic in the wave pool as the wave came in. Crush n Gusher has to be my fave water ride - the water coaster effects are phenomenal - and while not particularly thrilling or scary....just so much pure FUN.

We enjoy TL most between the two as well. I'm not sure if it is real or imagined, but it seems as if you do more carrying of tubes up lots of stairs in BB. One thing to keep in mind with the little ones in TL's wave pool is, while the shallow end of the wave pool is shallower so you would think better.......WELL I saw several kids (including my own DD7) and an elderly lady taken right off their feet and dragged over the rough bottom resulting in some abrasions and needing more than one bandaid:sad:! The lady had to be helped to her feet by my DH and BIL because she couldn't stand with the waves the way they are in the shallows. If you are going shallow, make sure it is at least 3 feet deep or stick to the kiddie area to the side.

Typhoon lagoon is the go to waterpark for the DW and myself.....we spend hours in the wave pool and still want more!!

DH and I have done both in years past, and last year we took the kids to TL for the first time. They loved it! We're doing both this summer and we can't wait. If memory serves, I prefer TL over BB because of the tropical feel and the Crush N Gusher. Our entire family agreed it was one of the coolest experiences ever!

Don't forget that TL has the Shark Reef too! That was a great experience!
