Which water park?

I have never been to any of the water parks. Don't like them, but I am taking my DGDs next August, and they want to go. They are 11. Which park would be best for them? Will they be ok riding that huge waterslide on the skijump? I won't be doing any of those and am concerned about letting the girls go by themselves. Any help? Suggestions?

I think it depends on the children, but mine were 11,9 and 7 this summer and did ALL the slides by themselves - I don't do slides, either! They were fine.

The nice thing about the WDW water parks is that there is an area at the bottom of the slide where you can wait for them. Most of the bigger slides have seating so you don't have to stand for a long period of time. They are just wooden platforms, but better than nothing. As I recall, most were in the shade as well. That way, you know you won't miss them when they come down.

All three of my kids liked BB better, but loved TL as well.

We went to both this week and our vote is for TL hands down. My my husband is still complaining that his backside hurts after taking our sons on Summit Plummet (the ski jump slide at BB). It was too intense for our DS 8 and that was all he talked about before the trip. All of us loved the wave pool at TL. We had a hard time getting our kids out of it!!

Both have different qualities. We like the slides better at BB than TL and the family raft ride at BB is better than TL.

We love the wave pool, the lazy river and the shark snorkel at TL and usually go there because of those, but will go to BB when we want to do more slides. Plus the ski lift is nice when your sick of climbing a million wet stairs!
We tend to spend a lot of time in the wave pool and lazy river though.

I have stopped doing the big drop slides, but the kids love it. Too much bathing suit issues when you get to the bottom and the crowd is sitting there watching you dig for your suit
