I can't make up my mind which Disney water park to try. We are two adults and going in September and want to have a relaxing day at one of the lazy rivers. Would you recommend BB or TL for the best lazy river?
Thank you for your help.

Haven't been to BB, only TL. I love the lazy river. I could just float there for hours if I wasn't neurotic about wathcing my kids - lol! My son won't go back however...in February he saw a little boy on the on one of the small slides pull his pants down and urinate down the slide - lifeguard did/said nothing - he immediately got out of the water and now he refuses to go back. I'm quite sure this doesn't only happen at TL!!

I am not a huge fan of water slides and things like that which I think is the main attraction to BB. I have been to TL a few times and would go there again. From people who have been to both, the lines are not as bad at TL, and the lazy river is definitely nice and relaxing. They also have some moderate slides so if you want a little fun you can go on those but they are not the "suit up the butt" slides they have at BB. Enjoy whichever one you choose! :sunny:

The lazy river at TL is much more relaxing than that at BB. TL is more relaxing because of its tropical feel. The lazy river is longer, but it is a little bit more crowded than at BB.

As far as lazy rivers go, TL beats BB hands down. Lets just say the "melting snow" in the BB cave isn't all that relaxing!

Yet another vote for Typhoon Lagoon. Definitely more relaxing than BB. And you've got to check out the wave pool, even if you don't want to go in it - it is amazing.

If you are really just basing this on the lazy river (which I love) then another vote for Typhoon Lagoon. You get to float under tropical trees, around rocks and plants -- definitely the most relaxing of the two. (We love both parks, by the way!). You can rest and pretend that you're in Hawaii!

Also the lazy river is a half foot deeper at TL than at BB. There are water features that splash you at both but the features at TL are heated and the ones at BB aren't (hence the melting snow feel).

my dh, best friend and i went to bb this past saturday and we will never go again.. but we will def try TL next time... the line for the one good water slide summit plummit was 2hr wait all day long.. im not waiting two hrs for a 10second thrill... the other waterslides were very mediocre then again i am a lil spoiled having been to water parks at other places in other states.. BB seemed like a more kid friendly place all around.. where else i heard from others that were there that day that TL was better for adults and that their lazy river also was better... a lot of people were griping about a wasted day and how they wish they could use their ticket and hop over to TL but there was no park hopping tween water parks allowed.. :(

Which ever one you choose is going to be PERFECT because the two of you are together holding hands floating around.

Add me to the TL Lazy River fan club!

and

IF you're in the mood for a chilly dip you can always opt to swim with sharks !

Thank you for all the replies. Sounds like I am going to TL. I forgot to ask if you can stay on your intertube the whole time at lazy river, or do you have to get out after one time around and stand in line again for another tube (like Six Flags)????
Thanks again,

You can stay on the inner tubes as long as you like, or as long as you can stand the nasty stares from people waiting as you pass by! I think our max was 3.5 times around.

I haven't been to either but we are going on this trip, leaving in 25 days. We're going to TL! We like the lazy river and swimming w/Sharks. It seems like BB is more slides and thrills.

Don't get me wrong, I LOVE BB too, it has really fun tube slides and tobogan racers, the wave pool is more conducive to swimming vs. drowning (hehe) and the kids area looks like tons of fun. Both water parks are fun and if you get a chance you should check them both out.

TL also has more shaded places to sit vs BB. We did both water parks last Sept and the crowds were not that bad on the weekdays. From what I'm told the Locals invade the both parks on the weekend. Add me to list who prefer TL over BB, mostly for the reason above, but the big wave pool (I mean waves not size of pool) and shark reef are not to be missed.

Both lazy rivers are nice. But if I were going without the kids I would choose TL. It seems a little more tropical, adult, relaxing feel to it. Blizzard Beach is probably a little more funny themed.

For instance in the TL lazy river there are lots of plants, misters, you feel like you are floating in the tropics.

At BB there are still a lot of plants, but there are funny little things to laugh at along the way (a snow cabin in middle of river that sneezes).

Both are lots of fun though and I would recommend either one. TL just seems a little more "adult" and perhaps more romantic. If you can call swimming with 20,000 people romantic!
