on one of my day, the plan is to go to the water park for half day and then go to Epcot for dinner (red 4:45pm) and spend the rest of the evening at Epcot. My kids are 8 and 4.5. I don't know if we will have enuf time to go back to our resort (AKL) to rest or not.

Questions:

1. Which water park should I go? TL opens at 9am and BB opens at 10am... Or it doesn't matter which one I go since both parks are similar???

2. Is there an indoor ride at Epcot where the line is usually short and we can rest? Preferably something like the Emchanted tiki room. My kids always naps on that room.

TIA!

i would choose by which slides/rides you and your family think they would like. ive only been to TL but want to try BB.

ellen's energy ride is a good 45 mins rest, let everybody rush to the front that way you can get a whole row in the back. then you can lay down in the row

Living with the land, nice little 10 min boat ride

BB if your family are more into thrills, TL is more laid-back imo

I'd just stay back at the hotel and rest then go to EP. If I just came back from a waterpark I would want to have a longer break.

The waterparks are a lot more exhausting than you think :snail:

1. Tough choice, TL wave pool is intense. Watch out if you have small ones.
2. Behind UK, to the right if you are coming from Canada.

For 8 & 4 yr olds I'd go with BB. They have an area called Ski Patrol that's designed just for kids from 4-12ish. Plenty for them to do in there and you can get in the water with them in part of the area. I'd stay away from the wave pool at TL until the kids are bigger/better swimmers. The bottom is very rough and you will get scraped up if you're knocked down by a wave or another person. BB's wave pool is calmer and the bottom is smoother.

I'd go back to the resort, between the heat and just being sticky I would think a bath and a nap would be in order. Ellen's Energy Adventure is rumored to be closing in Sept. so that might not be an option. Spaceship Earth can have short lines and is a fairly slow dark ride. I'm not judging but I'm not a huge fan of using the rides as a nap spot, it's one thing if you kid drops off (mine did many times) but purposely using them for a nap is a little off putting for me. Again, not judging just my opinion.

Sorry I just saw that you asked for indoor. American Adventure for sure if you are dining in WS.

I, personally, would recommend going back to the resort. The water parks are exhausting and, unless you are planning on showering at the water park, you may be uncomfortable for the rest of the day. You will also have to carry all of your wet suits with you in the park.

If you do decide to go straight to EP and are looking for a quiet place to rest, there are a ton of indoor areas - the Seas pavilion, Innoventions, any of the pavilion movies (China, Canada, Norway).

The Innoventions building that houses the Joy & Sadness and Baymax M&Gs has a huge empty space in the 'back' portion of it, behind the M&G area (accessed through different doors). It's air conditioned and there are benches and a fairly large open carpeted area. There are also some poorly maintained video game consoles with some games almost no one cares about. I don't know that I'd recommend napping there but it's a nice spot to sit down and have a rest.

Ellen's Energy Adventure was my favorite nap spot in all of Disney World. It's supposed to be closing (what a shame!) so you may have to settle for the American Adventure for a snooze.

My kids were theme park commandos at that age and went from open to close days in a row. So if you have lots of energy, then you will have fun. What kind of tickets do you have? Because if you go into Epcot you will lose a ticket day if you leave soon. If you are in doubt, then you could eat at one of the many quick service places in Epcot if you go, and not be charged for a restaurant cancellation.

If the dinner ADR is in the front part, then Ellen's is the place to rest. If in the back, then American Adventure is air conditioned and cool and lengthy.

Dinner itself can give a chance for resting.
