My DH doesn't really like water parks and I only want to go for a couple of hours...and really just so I can do the lazy river...but we're not sure which (TL or BB) has the better river?

Typhoon Lagoon has the BEST lazy river!! So pretty and relaxing....

I can't help it. I love the guy who "sneezes" all over you as you glide by at the lazy river at BB. I must be sick. ;)

Okay, I don't really remember TL lazy river. I just know that as a park, I like BB better.

BB has water runoffs into the lazy river that are suposed to be smow melting, they are VERRRY COLD, so if you just want tor relax, I would recommend TL.

As you can probably tell, my DH thought it was extremely funny to push me under the freezing cold water every time we floated by!

typhoon lagoon all the way so relaxing plus i love all the names of the hop in points!
Ahhh i wish i was floating in a lazy river right now :maleficen

but then again blizzard beach does have cold water which is my favorite i HATE warm/lukewarm water (i only like warm water in hot tubs or tubs hot water does not belong in a pool and i don't see the point of lukewarm water if you want to cool off??)
or is it just me :confused3

TL by far....how great a feeling to be floating on a lazy river in paradise.

Being at TL feels like a vacation in itself....an escape to a tropical island with lots of fun.

uh oh!
i was planning on going to bb...but now that everyone is saying such great things about the tl lazy river...hmm...could i possibly squeeze both parks into my trip?? :hyper:

TL is the better park overall IMHO. BB seems so cold and uninviting. TL is warm and relaxed. :sunny:

BB is great, if you dont mind only most being relaxing, the other bits have cold water wateralls, which you have to go through, but the river is HUGE! and it is great for kids ( they also take pics of u in the pool which you can collect later!)

We're leaning toward going to BB because dh likes the looks of Summit Plummet (yikes.........). Does the lazy river at BB have some shaded areas?

Also, how deep is the water in the lazy rivers?

Thanks!

If it doesn't cool down soon, I'm headed to the Lazy River at BB and staying in the cold water. :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

lazy river water is different in most areas
the range is probably 3-3.5-4 feet (depending)
mostly it is all under 4 feet but don't quote me on that :maleficen

i read somewhere it is 3 ft deep in the lazy rivers. :boat: :fish:

Most of BB's river is in the shade, as I believe TL is also. I remember because I wanted to work on my tan, and lots of things were in the shade.

I remembered it as BB's river is mostly sun where TL is mostly shade. TL is shorter around and seems more narrow to me. BB has more entry/exits if I remember correctly. True, the cold waterfalls can be bad if you have onery (sp?) teenagers who like to hold you under the falls, but we prefer BB.
