which water park for us???

while we have been to disney a "bunch" of times, we have never taken the time to visit one of the water parks...we will be going in june/july for 13 days and i think that we might be able to squeeze in a day at a water park...but which one....
we are a family of four...my wife will be content to sit and dangle her feet in the water...i have two children (boy 13, girl 11)...both the children and myself are very interested in BIG slides with lots of speed and excitement...
so, with that info, should it be blizzard beach or typhoon lagoon for us...also, any suggestions regarding day of week to visit a water park (or are the all busy???)....

We have been to both water parks. My children, ages 16 and 13 loved Blizzard Beach the best. There is a great family water raft ride, along with lots of slides. There is plenty of beach space to just relax, along with a lazy river. If your kids are more doers, then I would say that would be your best bet. The weekends tend to be more crowded during the summer, so it is better to visit during the week. Have a great time, and go either very early or later is the day for fewer crowds.

Tough choice. We always make time for both. We love BB for the slides. We love TL for the wave pool. Both are themed wonderfully.

I would go to Blizzard Beach especially since your kids like fast tall slides. There are many slides like that at BB.

We have been to both. I would do BB because it has bigger slides. Summit Plummit is one of the wilder rides I have been. Nothing like a 120 ft drop almost straight down at 60 mph. Slusher Gusher is 90 feet and also fast.

I agree that if you like slides, BB is a good choice. I LOVE TL for the wave pool, though.
