Hi Everyone!

I have a friend who needs to know which water park is best for a 4 yr old??

Any experiences??

THANKS! :grouphug:

I've never darkened the doors at either but we're going to check out the waterparks this time and I've been researching them a bit. It kind of looks like maybe TL is best for the little ones. I've got a 2yo and 11yo granddaughters and of course the 11yo wants to do BB for that big slide.

thanks for the quick reply

anyone else?
:yay:

We did Typhoon Lagoon last summer with dd who was almost 4. She loved the kids part. The wave pool was good too but be careful in there. Those waves are really strong. I was 8 months pregnant and they totally knocked me over. And I wasn't where they hit the strongest, I was in the part with the little kid's slides.

The extra-strong wave pool at TL is just the reason why I'd recommend BB to your friend. There is absolutely no way a 4 year old could swim in the wave pool, and his/her parents would end up spending the entire time trying to keep their balance while holding onto their child.

definately BB. They have two kids area's, Tykes Peak for little ones and Ski Patrol for school age. Mine were 6 their first time, we tried both and they preferred BB hands down. They said the kid's area at TL was "for babies". They hated the wave pool because they kept getting knocked down and the bottom is rough. They also have a wave pool at BB but it's milder. They spent the whole day in Ski Patrol and didn't want to leave when the place was closing.

IMHO--Typhoon Lagoon. Our little ones loved being at the edge of the wave pool. The wave would crash them back into to us occassionally, but they loved it. There's a family raft ride, lazy river & cute kids area w/ some shade near it.

Blizzard Beach had more teenagers & longer lines.

Our son loved it as well, but I certainly didn't love the feeling that at any moment I was going to be swept away with him or that feeling of my rear end, legs, etc. dragging along that rough bottom! :)

Our daughter was 3 on our last trip to BB and had a greak time in the Tikes Peak area. They have 3 different slides that she could do by herself.

Either is great though.

Have fun.

I think both have things for a 4 yr. old, but I would give a slight edge to BB kiddie areas.
