Which Vons

So is it easier to get to the Vons on Chapman or W. Lincoln?

Or is it just more convenient to go to the Chapman location bec there is some much more other stuff along the way, ie. restaurants, etc.?

We went to the Vons on Chapman one year in the evening and were scared to death. They had a security guard at the door and bars on the doors. Also, the quality of the food was horrible. We will NEVER go back there again!

We went to the one on Chapman on our trip this month because it was close to our hotel. It seems like maybe(?) it isn't in a great area - could just be our perception though - but we had no trouble at all even though we went at night. There was loads of parking right at the door, no lines - the store was clean, the staff very friendly. We just didn't linger in the parking lot. I can't comment on the prices because I have nothing to compare to in the area but we spent about as much as we would have at home.

I too went to the Vons on Chapman and I will drive a little further to go to a different grocery store next time! I wasn't impressed at all. I happened to see a post on here once with directions to a different store so I made it a point to save that... and now I can't seem to find it! Sorry!

Your post made me laugh...I think I'll go to W. Lincoln...from there it's only another mile and I'm at the character warehouse thanks for the heads up!!

Has anyone gone to the Lincoln one? I am looking at it because we have Safeway here & I love their bakery and Von's is the same company. We just can't afford the trip and Disney's new prices for a birthday cake! My son wants to go for his 10th b-day and want to not have it ruined.

We went to the Lincoln one; it was absolutely fine.

Others who are local to Vons say that their bakery is just as good as the stores branded with Safeway, and I think Safeway's bakery is actually pretty good (though DS can't have most of their stuff, I will eat it). I have actually recommended going to Vons for a cake, since it will probably be as good and definitely much cheaper than paying Disney.
