We are staying at the WL for the first time in January. I would like to get something with a balcony. Which is the best view to request? Thanks!

Here is a link to a room number map of the WL. http://users.hartwick.edu/heydukr/wlrooms.htm

I like the courtyard view rooms 067-079. They are only on the 4th and 5th floors and in what some call the "bears face." Woods view rooms that I have stayed in and liked are facing the MK overlooking the "otter pond." Room number 5034 was my favorite. Others will have different opinions and experiences.

    1) All WDW Lodge rooms have balconies or patios, except one single room.
    2) Most balconies have railings with stiles (vertical pieces).
    3) However, some balconies have a solid wall up to header and cap (horizontal pieces).
    4) Thus, you cannot see downward past the balcony unless you are standing.
. . . no view while sitting on patio
. . . no view while sitting/laying on the bed
. . . no view or a tiny view when walking around inside the room

Depends on which room category (ie. how much you pay). We booked a courtyard view, requested inner courtyard and had the following view off our balcony from room 6039:

could also see the geyser as well:

If you have already made your reservation, check it to see what you paid for. This will give you an idea of where you could be located and what you could be looking at. At the Lodge- its all good! :goodvibes
