Hi....I am ready to book akl concierge and need help with my room request.Any thoughts on which savanna view or floor to request? Just me and dh so I would like a great view of the animals in a quiet section. Also does anyone know when the concierge will contact me for requests?? It is alot of money to spend so I want to make sure I request things right. Can't wait to stay there and do the sunrise safari. I am thinking of going early feb 06 Thanks! :cool1: :cool1: :cool1:

We had a room on the 5th floor, Arusha savannah, zebra trail, near the elevator to Mara .. and it was great! have fun at AKL.. we loved it. We did the Sunset Safari and had a great time. Have you thought about that one since it is only you and DH? The dinner at Jiko is outstanding.

I don't know when they will contact you. I have heard it is at the 90 day mark.

It was my understanding that you can't request your view for AKL concierge (bizarre, I know). But maybe I'm wrong.

I've stayed AKL CL three times and always been able to request my view. I tell them which savanna, and have always gotten what I wanted.

That said, I also have no other request except non-smoking for medical reasons. I don't care if I get a room with bunkbeds, daybed or no daybed, near or far from the elevators, etc., etc. The more requests you have, the less likely you'll get what you want.

Also, if you request a CL smoking room it will not have a savanna view, but you will be on the same floor as the lounge.
