None. I remember asking my mom when I was about 5 why he doesn't just let her leave? It seemed like he was a bully, and it has annoyed me for well over 40 yrs. I stayed out of the "political" talk about it, because Idk if I agree with either side, but all I know is that it's annoys me

Hate John Legend (and his creepy-looking wife) so not that one. Of these three, I prefer Idina Menzel and Michael Buble. However, Lady Gaga does one that is also really good, and honestly I don’t know how people can STILL be railing against the “politically incorrect” nature of the song if even LADY GAGA has covered it. Just get over it already, not everything has to have a deep dark meaning…

Neither..that is actually one of my least favorite Christmas songs. Even when Barry Manilon put it on his Christmas CD (with KD Lang) I would skip over it every time I listed to it!

I'm voting for Ella and Louis! Though Deano is also great, and I do love Zooey.

Side note Idina Menzel makes my head hurt.

I agree. I don't even really like the song, but not because of anything creepy. The girl wants to stay, she's just playing coy. Plus, staying doesn't really insinuate anything else other than spending more time together.

right, I believe the song is playing out in each other's heads and not thinking out loud. Kinda Broadwayish. But the original Dean Martin version for sure it is one of my favorites

I prefer most of the classic versions, not real fond of the Pearl Baily/Hot Lips Page version, but honestly I'm also not bothered by the more recent ones I just don't know them as well to sing along too.

Fitzgerald is probably the one I think of first when it's mentioned.

I also like the versions done in Glee and the one in the movie All I want for Christmas where Thora Birch and Lauren Bacall sing it as a grandmother/granddaughter.

It's not a big song for me. The one version that sticks in my mind the most is the first version I heard, which was on SNL in 1986, performed by Sigourney Weaver and Buster Poindexter.
