Which Value?

I have been to WDW several times and have always stayed in a moderate. I am currently helping a friend plan a trip who has never been and is quite new at all of this- so I'm REALLY helping. Anyway, she is going the first week of October and wants to stay in a value to better fit her budget. I've never stayed at a value nor researched them too much. Can you guys help me? Which value do you like better and why? Have you had bus issues there- are they all about the same with buses? Please, give your input! I'd like to make this a very magical trip for her family- including her 4 year old daughter.

Pop was more designed for adults than kids. Although kids love it.

it is a walk down memory lane....big time.

if you were born in the 50, 60, 70, 80 or 90 - I really think you will love this resort. It has a ton of memories.

Lady and the Tramp, Micky phone, smilely, pac man game,etc - you name it and you can probably find it here.

Hands down, I'd go to POP every time. We have a code currently for our six night trip we could upgrade to a moderate for a total of only 140 and my husband and I just can't find one that we would like as much as POP. We loved the theming, the food court is incredible and so is the gift shop. We loved walking around the grounds. The pools were great. We love the hippie dippie pool and the kiddie pool is awesome with zero entry and fountains. The splash fountain area is a must do for our four year old. We just LOVE POP!

Hi, we have stayed @ Movies, Music, and Sports, our Family member stayed @ Pop,
with kids I would stay @ Movies and Request the Toy Story area, they are close to the Food court and Pool area, also their Icons are great for kids and their pool has a Fantasia Mickey fountain that my kids loved , the food court was also great, Hope this helps

Since this is her first time I would go with an All-Star preferrably Movies. Pop is the most popular of the values at this time because it is new and its quite busy, it might be a bit overwhelming. Pop has a lot more rooms then the other values.
Pop has 2,880 while each All-Star has 1,920. Thats quite a difference.

Personally I don't care for Pop's food court and my DD11 always wants to stay at All-Stars especially for the Mickey Waffle Sundaes. Even when we have stayed Poly she askes if we can visit All-Stars to get a Sundae. Once while staying at Pop she tried to explain how to make them to a CM. Quite bold of my daughter.

I've stayed at Movies and Sports. Both had great food courts and the bus services was good. With a 4 year old girl my choice would have to be Movies.

Thanks for the info guys! I'll pass it along to her and probably suggest movies- I think maybe it won't be as crowded as Pop b/c its popularity due to being new. Anyone else?

Pop is the newest, so very popular right now.
ASMo is always the most popular of the three AS. Hence, it is the busiest too. The three AS are pretty interchangeable.
ASMu goes back further, more like a bowling alley lane. And the main bus area for all three AS is on the right side of ASMu (between ASSp and ASMu). That can be a noisy area.

I think the AS bus service is great, and more organized than some of the mods.

The BEST service we had at ANY WDW resort was at ASMo. Well, maybe WL. But at a deluxe you expect more.

We have walked away from great stays at the AS. But Pop would be interesting too.
