Which value resort- POP, Movies, Sports-

- and why? I have stayed at POP and ASMusic. Unfortunately the only rooms available for my stay are preferred locations at POP, ASMovies, or ASSports. Which would you choose, and why?

Pop! It doesnt share buses with any other resorts and has a fun theme.

We've only stayed at Movies so far, but we really enjoyed it. The theming was really cute (they had a ton of adorable photo ops set up around the resort...you can be inside the TV the dalmatian puppies are watching, drive RC, etc.), and it was much more compact than I expected it to be. The food court has a lot of variety (the taco salad was my favorite...delicious AND a great value!). The pool was nice (no slide or anything, obviously, but the Sorcerer Mickey water feature is fun). We never shared buses while we were there, but that's not always the case (depending on the park, time, and crowds).

We'll be staying at Pop in a few weeks though, and I'm eager to see how the two compare!

Enjoyed preferred room at POP - requested 60s building 4 or 5, and got 5 at the end near food court, and loved being close for refilling mugs and walk to(and especially from!) buses. ASMo has such great Disney theming - stayed there on our first trip in 2008 for a few nights, and actually just pulled up pics for something DD needed, and was reminiscing about how cool it was, seeing the kids in all those photo op spots PP mentioned(so little - "Don't Blink" as Kenny Chesney says!) Also think Sorcerer Mickey pool is more impressive than Hippy Dippy. But for guaranteed dedicated buses, would probably do POP, where I think preferred is worth it.

I've stayed at Pop, ASSports, ASMovies.

We prefer Pop. We like their food court and the fact that they have their own buses.

I would do preferred Movies (but that may change after my upcoming first stay at Sports). This opinion is going to be in the minority here but I have been to Pop twice now (preferred and preferred pool view), and felt it was just okay. The room location was the best part. Last time they put me in a 4th floor room past the first set of elevators that they claimed was a pool view (it was more like splash pad view, I think its the very last room still designated that pool view category) but moved me when I questioned it. IMO its too large and with so many people it backs up the bus lines. The food court didn't do anything for me to say to say the least. Towards the end of trip, we took the AOA bus back and ate at their food court. A shared bus adds only a few more minutes to the ride. Movies preferred wasn't bad at all and I would stay there again before POP. Maybe POP would win me over when its not summertime and people jam packed in there.

POP - no shared busses, small compact lay out and walking distance to Art of Animation

POP - open layout and with a preferred room your walk to the buses and food court won't be bad...designated buses...nice pool...good theming and we haven't had crowding issues with cheerleaders and sports teams as much as Sports
We also enjoyed walking over to AoA ..nice lake and you have the benefit of 2 food courts
