Which Value Resort Has The Best Bus Service?

You'll get a lot of answers here that will reflect individual experiences and not necessarily fact. IMO, they're all pretty good and we've stayed at all of them.

:cool1: we have stayed at astmovies and pop i would say pop has the best bus service as they have one bus for pop where as astmovies share there buses with astsport and astmusic :lovestruc

All of the value resorts have the same bus service and transportation options. There are different lines depending on which park you are going to for that day.

Lines for the buses are usually longer if you are heading to magic kingdom but parks such as mgm and lines for downtown disney are usually a lot shorter and have very few people on the bus. However, what time you get in line for the buses matters as well.

The morning time has the longest lines and at night the lines are much smaller.

I have stayed at every value resort and they are all good. You just might find buses that are slightly more crowded due to the fact that the value resorts are cheapest and usually have more people staying at them.

hope this helps

We stayed at Pop and had great bus service. We never waited more than 10 minutes for a bus to take us anywhere. At the end of the night coming back to the hotel the busses were crazy busy. We did have to wait for a second or third bus a couple times. But they kept them coming very quickly.

We stayed at the POp and we were very impressed with the bus service. I have to say it was the best bus service out of all the resorts we have stayed in. I don't know if we just hit it right each time or we were just lucky but I also like the fact that there is different lines for each park which in my opinion keeps the boarding fair and moving right along.

I find the value resorts bus service to be better than the mods or deluxe. We never waited long for buses and the longs were never crazy. The years we did the values we went in May so i cannot speak to other seasons, but may was prime...we loved it. But the service at the mods can be terrible, we were at fort wilderness this past august and it was horrid, we waited upwards of 45 min for buses and often once they arrived they would sit there for 15 minutes or so and then stop at 2-3 other resorts before going to their destination. ugh.

We've stayed at all of the values multiple times and I also think bus service at all of them is pretty good.

This is good news to hear how good the bus service is at Pop. I'm planning a vacation for my family, we'll most likely be staying at Pop and using the buses the entire time for parks and to get to restaurants, which will require transferring from bus to bus. I do realize a sufficeint amount of time should be allocated prior to any dining reservations.

I have stayed at POP for the last 2 years and LOVE the busses!! We went during the first week of August this year (July 31 - Aug 8) and we never had to wait longer than 10 minutes for a bus!! Mind you, this was right after Wishes at MK... =D If we had to wait for a bus, we waited patiently - sometimes the best times are reflecting on your day at WDW or starting conversations with others!! Hope this helped..

Another vote for Pop!!:thumbsup2 It's great that they have dedicated busses for only Pop - no stopping at five other resorts when you just want to get back to your room after a long day at the parks.

But, I have to say - we had an inexperienced bus driver on our way back from DTD in Nov. - got lost twice - once after driving right past the entrance to POP. We said "didn't you just drive right past it?" Took another 15 minutes to go through a special security gate and turn around. Let's see - and just HOW do you miss that big sign that says "Pop Century Resort"? Hmmmm........

We stayed at ASMu 12/20-12/26/07 and didn't have any problems with the bus service.

We've stayed at all of the values multiple times and I also think bus service at all of them is pretty good.

I agree. I have stayed at levels of Disney resorts and think that the bus service at the values is among the best on property.

The bus rides from both Pop and the All Stars are quite short.

All Star Buses-CBR buses---POPbuses--PO buses--- Contemporary
MK 20 min---- 20 min-----25 min------10 min---20 min(mono)
Epcot 10 min-- 15 min-----20 min------10 min---15 min
MGM 10 min----12 min-----15 min------15 min---20min
AK 10 min------20min-------15 min----15 min---20 min
DTD 15 min----20 min------20 min-----15 min---35 min

A WORD ABOUT BUS SHARING AT THE ALL STARS:

To me Bus Sharing at the All Stars is really a non issue.

In the mornings during Park opening hours each All Star usually has a dedicated bus.
During mid day it is usually just our stop and maybe one more on the way to the parks. On the way back sometimes it is all 3 but often Sports and Movies share and Music has it's own bus back. Each of the All Stars usually has it's own dedicated bus back from the MK.
That is a big plus. It seems like the Music bus stop usually has the shortest of the three All Star bus lines.

I guess some people who stay at POP see all 3 All Star names on the return sign of our bus stop when they head to the POP bus stop and think All Stars also has 3 stops on the way to the park.
(Even when we stop at another AS resort to load up it has not taken more than 5 minutes and we are on our way!)

We have stayed at asmo 2, and pop last year....POP had the better bus service in our opinion. With the asmo they shared the buses, and by the time the bus go to movies it was full. POP doesn't share buses with anyone
