Which value resort for....

a 58 year young grandma, a 33 year young mom, and DS 5 and DS 2. I just got an e-mail PIN code for $64/night from Jan. 1 until Feb. 15. This trip is totally spontaneous because of the great rate and great airfare. I have been reading my UG and have been on allearsnet.com and I am leaning towards Pop Century. I thought since Pop was newer, looked closer to MGM, Epcot, and DTD, and has Goofy's water play area (call me crazy to choose a resort over a water play area, but my kids love running through the sprinklers) it might be the right resort for us. Am I on track with my thinking or should I be leaning towards an All-Stars resort?

Go with Pop Century for all of the reasons you mentioned. The decor and theming from the different decades will appeal to all of the different generations you are bringing.

My DH and I were there in May, and we loved it. We are 26 and 27 and had a great time looking at all of the memorabelia in the lobby from the different decades.

I've also stayed at All Star Movies...but I think I like Pop better.

Out of all the value resorts, we like Pop the best. It seems to have a more fun atmosphere. We will usually find something new in the decorations each time we are there. Our kids also like all the huge objects outside the rooms, especially the Hot Wheels trike that can hold up to ~800 lbs.

Much thanks for the input! Now we just need to see if I can go to WDW withou DH. It was his idea, but I am still feeling a little guilty. He works 6 and 7 days a week from January until April, so he thought it would be great to get the kids and I out of the cold for a little bit....but I feel really guilty going to WDW while he is busy working!
