We are planning to spend one night at a disney value resort before transferring to POR. Which one would you choose and why?

Thanks! :)

I'd stay at the LM standard room for 1 night :) Only a few bucks more than the other values and it's brand new!

I don't think it matters for one night. We stay at Pop and like it and they don't share buses like the All Stars. Why not try AOA since it is new?

I love the POP:). We have reservations at AOA for this December but i am a bit concerned about no preferred rooms so distance is going to be an issue from LM

I chose one night at AoA LM standard room on a Saturday night.

Mostly because it was cheaper to add a night there then to add a night to my pre-existing POFQ reservation.

I am not of fan of the Allstar theming (I have been to ASMu and it was tolerable). Pop and Movies kind of make me cringe. I don't like those icons:confused3. I did try to get Music, but they were sold out my night so I just thought why not try the new resort, and I kinda think sticking my head under the water at the Nemo Pool to hear the sound would be interesting.:rotfl2: Plus I thought that thier menu, if I decide to eat there, was better than the other values.

However if fall rates come out and by some miracle POFQ is available I'm switching my entire week to POFQ. Then I can avoid looking at those gigantic mardi gras icons.:confused3 I don't know why it's different and doesn't bother me as much at ASMu and POFQ but that's how it is.

With a 5 yr. old DD I would pick a mermaid room at AofA if the price was close (don't think they are discounted though).

My next choice would be Movies. It has a more child-like theme IMO and most of the time a discount. It has also just had a refurb. I believe.

The layout/size are all the same.

We've only stayed at value once and only used the ME once. Here was our value experience: We had a very late arrival after switching flights to come in about 10 hours earlier than planned. We were staying at the Swan for the rest of our trip, but there was no availablity - we made those changes the day of our trip. We decided to give it a shot and try a value and stayed at All Star Music, I didn't realize it didn't have room service, etc. or king sized beds or anything like that even though I've been to WDW at least 30 times in the last 10 years. We've stayed almost all the deluxes (except BW and AKL) and wanted to branch out - and it was only going to be for a matter of hours. It was a disaster and my husband was NOT a happy. All he wanted was room service beer and wings. For the price difference I would highly encourage you to just stay at your resort of choice. Our opinion was that they were Disneyfied motels.

Of course, others love them, I think different people find different things magical and that's what's great about WDW.

Pop or AoA for proximity to resort, however Pop would be a few dollars cheaper. If you have young children, they would relate more to AoA than they would Pop.
