Which Vacation is Right for Me?

Put in Fall, got Oct 23-29th. Put in any season, shocker, got Oct 23-29th. How about a week that includes some discounts? No?

Tried it twice. Each time I put in the same prelim info. When I got to dining, the first time it offered Asian and Italian foods as options. The second time those options weren't even offered, but Latin/Mexican was offered instead. Then I picked the same time frame both times, fall. So the only differences were dining choices.

First result: Animal Kingdom Lodge, 6 nights, 7 day NON-park hoppers, deluxe dining plan, outrageous price.
Second result: Beach Club, 5 nights, 6 day hoppers, deluxe dining, outrageous price.

The only common denominators: deluxe dining plan and outrageous price. Pretty much what I figured. I truly hope nobody takes this feature seriously and buys a suggested package.

Oh yeah, another common denominator in each package: only one MK day.

I got this :(

We're Stretched a Little Thin

Sorry, we're unable to accomodate your party for the season selected. Please choose a different season so we can make a recommendation for your stay.

I put in family, romantic, splurge, and any travel time. I got: Oct 24-30 for F&W. Contemporary Theme Park view, 6 night stay with 7 day park hopper and water park tickets, with 2 days MK, 1 day EPCOT, 2 day AK, 1 day HS, and 1 day water park. Regular dining plan with suggestion of Wishes dessert cruise! The cost was outrageous!

What is with all the suggestions for 1 day at EPCOT!? I don't understand that.

I haven't checked the pricing on the packages they offer up. I wonder are they provided rack rate only? Even if there is currently a promo for that time frame?

It's really perfect for us when it comes to Epcot. I wouldn't want to go more than 1 day but I wouldn't want more than 1 at DHS either. If that. ;)

The common item seems to be the dining plan for everyone. Um, no thanks. I do like the Saratoga Springs suggestion though. We walked around there during our last trip and it looked really nice.

I haven't checked either, but I'm guessing it's rack rate for all suggested packages. If they're doing the work for you, they wanna be compensated for it.

Want a discount? Do your own dirty work. ;)

Pretty funny. Solo traveler. Spring trip. 4 nights at AoA in the Cars Family Suite--May 30-June 3. 2 day at AK, 1 day at MK, Epcot, and DHS. Solo traveler in a family suite. Really? The only other thing off is that I always stay more than 4 nights. And I go earlier in May because of work. But they have no way of knowing both of those things.

I did the customize and it made it really easy to compare a bunch of options (qs vs regular dining with RO, moving dates by one or two days, etc). Disney's picks were lousy but I had fun with the feature.
