Just for reference, where is the closest place to go if one of the kids got sick? Urgent care and hospital. We're staying at Pop.

Just contact the hotel front desk and they can help you get to a facility. I don't remember the name of it, but art of animation provided a shuttle van and took my sister to a nearby medical facility when she wasn't feeling well. I believe it is still on Disney property.

We've used the Walgreens Clinic just outside of Disney Springs. We had our car, but you could easily get a taxi.

I went to CentraCare in 2013 for a bladder infection and they were wonderful. They close at midnight and I walked in at like 11:55pm and they were still great and very efficient. Hopefully we won't have a need for them again but that is definitely where I will go if we do. FYI, there is a Walgreens fairly close by that has a 24 hr pharmacy which worked out great since we were 12:30am or so leaving CentraCare. They were also pretty efficient. By the next morning I was feeling much better and was able to enjoy the rest of our trip.

Just wondering, how does something like Doctors on Call work with your insurance??
we used Doctors on call. It was $250. I submitted to insurance and they covered what they would have if we had gone in network. It was around $80. We paid the rest, but we had trip insurance so it ended up not costing us anything out of pocket.

When I was there in December 2008/Jan 2009, my sister and I went to the Lake Buena Vista Centra Care. We both had pink eye :crazy2:. They were quick and were were able to get back to the parks before lunch .

Our past trip I had one of the on call Doctor services come to the room. The Dr. Had the meds in hand, I paid out of pocket and will submit to insurance. Was really nice and convienent.
